7/09/2014In response to the [redacted] 's complaint I believe I am wrongfully being accused of doing poor and unprofessional workThis job was done five years agoThe entire job consisted of tiling a master bath, hall bath and replacing a vanity and other minor renovations in their powder room. While removing the walls in the master bathroom that the [redacted] 's speak of, I noticed and noted water stains on the exterior plywoodI Spoke with ** [redacted] with concern and was told by ** [redacted] that they had new siding put on and it was fine, so I assumed that it was an old stain. The master bath and hall bath that the [redacted] 's are speaking of are less than 6" apart, back-to-back, and both installations where performed in the same exact way with the same exact materialThe tile in both bathrooms had a grout joint of less than 1/8" which required un-sanded grout due to the tile spacingThat is what I used.Hall bath is fine according to *** [redacted] and there are no further complaints. It is my understanding that the tiles in the Master bath were recently replaced by another contractor and mold continued to be an issueI truly believe, as I told both **and *** [redacted] that it was a siding problem and stand by my assessment.*** [redacted] called me a few times and it seemed like she only wanted compensation so I gave her my insurance information.I have no control over how long [redacted] takes to settle a claim.I have been in business for over years and I stand by my workI do not advertise because 100% of my work is from word of mouthI believe that there are many contractors out there that would say anything just to get work and would charge three times what the job is worth even if it means lying to a customer but I am not one of them.I am very conscientious and take great pride in my work as it is my family legacy and do not believe I am being treated fairly.I would love to and I am happy to, give The [redacted] 's the names and numbers of all of my customers before and after them, have them call and ask how they feel about my work if that's requiredIn fact, before I did the three bathrooms in The [redacted] 's home I had done work for her mother *** [redacted] and her brother [redacted] ***, which is I believe, why I was called in the first place.Sincerely,

Review: **. Chima was contracted to install new bathrooms in my home both master and hall bathroom. The master bathroom has caused us problems since it was remolded. The tile was incorrectly installed, he used regaular drywall in a bathroom. The tiles and grout fell out and we've had it patched several times. Finally due to the enormous number of capenter ants we ripped out the shower. The walls are covered in mold, and ants and the plywood to the house has to be rplaced which will require a huge amount of work and cost. The mold is so bad it smells that we can not sleep in our bedroom which is attached to the bathroom. **. Chima refuses to reimburse us for any money and sent us to his Insurance compmay which has taken at least 6 months with no results!Desired Settlement: We would like the cost of the repairs incurred over the last couple of years for trying to patch the problems also extimatinting costs, mold remediation costs and replacement costs for the new shower (labor and materials)
