in the rare instance of a deal cancellation prior to final delivery. In this particular case, our salesconsultant requested a partial payment/deposit for $200. It was explained to the customer that thehigher amount of deposit requested was a result of the customer's request to purchase a vehicle thatwas not in our dealer inventory. It was also explained to the customer that we send our employees toretrieve the requested vehicle. Additional expenses are incurred by the dealership, such as purchasingand transporting the selected vehicle. In preparation for delivery on the agreed date, the vehicle wasalso fully prepped, inspected, cleaned and the final paperwork prepared. This transaction did notinclude a trade-in, and it was our understanding that the customer was turning in their current leasedvehicle (different brand) to their original selling dealership. [redacted] Mitsubishi would have noknowledge or access to the details of the customer's lease turn in situation or offer, as the complaintindicates. It is assumed by our dealership that a customer is familiar with the lease terms in their signedcontract regarding their current vehicle and expenses associated with terminating their lease withanother dealership. Leases on new Mitsubishis from our dealership are not subject to a "dispositionfee". Our proposal to resolve this issue is to offer a $100 refund to the customer. This amount isequal to our standard and customary refundable deposit. The remaining portion of the deposit willremain on account to offset the considerable expense put forth by [redacted] Mitsubishi inpurchasing the vehicle, transporting it, and prepping it at the customer's request. In addition, this $100portion of the customer's deposit may be used by the customer toward the purchase of a vehicle from[redacted] Mitsubishi on a future date.  Thank you,  Anthony M [redacted]  President
