Complaint: 10806280 I am rejecting this response because: This is response to [redacted] reply to my complaint in regards to the repairs that were done to my daughters car. I never told him that I expected him to repair other problems with the vehicle besides the overheating issue that he so called repaired. On 7/10/2015 when we picked up the vehicle he did not give us an itemized receipt showing all the repairs and parts that he clanged that had 1 year warranty . Most automotive shops does this, give a receipt with what has been done to vehicle. Upon leaving his shop not 5 minutes down the road my daughter noticed the tempature gauge moving up and immediately called [redacted] back. His response was drive it over the weekend and bring it back to him on Monday. We brought it back in and he said he drove it several days and it was fine. Picked vehicle up and the same problem with the overheating again occurred. [redacted] paid for the tow of vehicle to shop. He kept it for a week. We picked it up again and the same problem existed. There were 3 or more times that we had to bring vehicle in to him due to same problem overheating. The last time we brought vehicle in he told us he put a seal treatment in it and advised us to get rid of it as soon as possible. After leaving the shop this time vehicle overheated and the treatment spewed all over the motor and under hood . We parked the vehicle at my house and vehicle has not been driven since. I feel like no repairs initially were done beings the same problem exist. Also the times we were at ***'s shop , him and his employees were witnessed drinking beer! I feel I should get some kind of reasonable refund if not full amount. Sincerely,

Customer, *** *** brought her vehicle to the shop on 5/6/for a no-start condition and said to check what was wrong and give price We checked it and found no compression on most cylinders and one coolant hose busted Gave a quote of She said she did not have all
the money, she was going to bring me something every week until it was paid off On 6/16/she bought cash in for me to start working on it Three weeks later she said her mother was going to pay for the repairs and to go ahead and finish it up We removed the heads, sent them to the machine shop for a valve job mill and pressure test We replaced head gasket sets, the coolant hose that was busted, thermostat, checked all fluids, added oil and antifreeze Got it running test drive it and everything was ok We gave her the vehicle on 7/10/ Two or three days later, the heater core broke and the vehicle ran hot again I told her to bring it in so I could check and she bypassed the heater core took care of the problemOne week later she brought it back for engine miss and we replaced the throttle positioning sensor for no charge That was not part of the repairs that were charged***'s mother called and told me that she already paid and would not pay anymore She feels that anything else that breaks should be covered by warranty Then, another coolant hose sprung a leak and they overheated it again I replaced it at no charge even though it was not covered under warranty I always tell them to bring me the vehicle before it does engine damage but they keep driving until it stops running I gave her a one year warranty parts and labor Every time they bring the vehicle it was not related to warranty; however, I still did the job at no charge I try to please all my customers even if I lose money The last time I saw the vehicle they had already caused percale engine I cannot do the repairs all over for the negligence of ignoring the temperature gauge until it's too lateI have told *** one year warranty but no mechanic shop will warranty over heating if you spring a coolant leak and you keep driving until you cause damage I can explain all of this over the phone better than I can typing a letter If you want to get a technician that you trust to call me, I will explain everything that's going on with the vehicle.Sincerely, *** ***
