To Whom It May Concern,
Mr*** *** brought his truck in for service one week prior to get his truck repaired;his
concern was a noise on the drivetrain when the truck is rolling, the noise is present when the
truck is rolling at mph and
aboveI had three technicians drive the truck and listen to the
customers concern, one of the mechanic said it's the over sized big tires that was making the
noise, the Two other mechanics said it possible that may be the front left wheel bearing or the
front differentialI then test drove it, then lifted the truck In the air and put It in drive and made
the wheels roll until mph, and listened to the truck with a statoscope and confirmed that the
noise was coming from the front differentialWe then parked the truck and ordered the
differentialWe offered Mr*** his option of new or rebuilt or used, he choose the rebuilt
optionsWe finished the truck close to midnight and he picked it up after I drove it for five miles
The noise was definitely gone
Mr*** came back the next day and stated that his truck was still making the noiseI took a
test drive with Mr*** I heard the rattling noise from the left rear wheel area, we brought
the truck back to the shop and lifted the left rear wheel and took the wheel off and inspected the
brakes and hound, evidence of scraping on the inside of the left rear drum/rotor and showed It to
Mr***At that time he asked me "is there anything you can do for me?" I replied if you
want I can fix it for the cost of the parts and labor with discounted rateI also mentioned that we
fixed what he was complaining about in the front and that noise is gone It's no longer thereThen
he got the keys to his truck and leftBottom line we fixed what he asked us to fix but the vehicle
had other rattling noises that wanted fixed after he came backHe thought by fixing the front
differential noise that was going to fix all the noises in the truck
