Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]The business is only stating what has occurred in their opinion.  My daughter's car was towed to them immediately when it ran hot.  We did not drive and drive on a car that was overheated.  When we picked it up, it was smoking profusely and I asked them about it before we left and when we got down the road.  It was my expectation that they are the experts in car repair to let us know what was not operable and to advise us if there was a blown head gasket at that time versus advising us to "drive the car for an hour or two until it stops smoking." They also advised that if we bought it back to them, they were going to put some band-aid foam on it, which is not what I want.  I want to the shop that I trust with my daughter's vehicle to tell me what is wrong with the car so that I can get it fixed.  I paid them $[redacted] for something that did not fix the problem, us having to have the car towed the next time it was driven, and based on another mechanic made the problem way worse than it was.  I would like to be reimbursed for the damages that this has caused.
Regards,[redacted]

Tonys Auto Repair and Sales LLC TOOK CARE OF MY BUSINESS! They are running a very nice business with various work stations to provide efficient car repairs for starters there's the ''tire bay'' which you just drive right up with mechanics eagerly awaiting to assist you and also there's the work bay where there's mechanics working on autos non stop! I just recently purchased an auto from there and there were some technical difficulties, but they took care of it right away! I really appreciated that! I've been to a lot of places where they try to snooker you and you're out cold, but not Tonys Auto Repair and Sales! Come by and check them out you'll love them I sure do!

The customer contacted Revdex.com and said that last week he went to pick the truck up and it was having problems with shifting gears, an issue it had not had before the business began working on it. Tony's told him to leave the vehicle and they would look at it, it was suggested it was low of transmission fluid. The customer picked the vehicle up Tuesday and after he got it home he tried to start it and take it out of park and the vehicle would not shift gears at all. The customer is now requesting a refund for the work done by the business since the vehicle is now presenting with issues much larger that when the vehicle went into the shop.

to whom it may concern,
We have received the car at tonys auto repair and sales customer said car is...

running hot and leaking antifreeze. We checked the car and we saw antifreeze all over the engine. we ran a pressure test we found out that the thermostat housing was cracked and we called the customer told them the job will cost them $[redacted] labor and parts also including antifreeze. Customer agreed to do the job after we did the job the customer came to get the car and we showed them the housing was cracked before they left we told them that the car might need a tune up the reason  that the motor was running rough. This is a sign of a blown head gasket or  a tune up. We have not done any major repairs to this car we just simply replaced the thermostat housing. We believe the damage has been done when the customer drove the car hot. that's the reason the car was towed here.Customer called to inform us that they took the car to another repair shop. We asked them to bring the car back to our shop so we can check it out for them. they said we let you know and they called us the next couple of days they said the other mechanic told them the engine was bad. thank you very much for your concern.

I strongly disagree with the response from tonys auto repair...the statements are inaccurate because I have credit card transaction receipts to verify that the amounts charged to me were clearly for more than just belt work as inaccurately described in the statement from tonys auto repair.also inaccurately stated in tonys auto repair statement is a remark that I purchased a transmission an had it placed into this vehicle.I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING REPLACED ON THIS VEHICLE IN REGARDS TO A TRASMISSION.I took my truck to tonys auto repair for a loose bolt rattling in april 2016.I was driving this vehicle as my daily driver and everything on this vehicle was original as far as for the motor/powertrain.the statement from tonys auto repair is sadly received as I expected more professionalism from tony..but after all this I get from tonys auto is a destroyed vintage vehicle that I intend to have repaired at whatever cost.so I once again request that tonys auto repair reimburse me for what I paid them for.tonys auto repair failed to repair my vehicle and in fact tonys auto destroyed and immobilized a vehicle that only had minor issues when it was brought in for service in april 2016 only to be released in december 2016 and it didnt even make it a over a mile before it became immobilized.I tried to support local businesses but sadly I see why people only go to corporate sponsored auto repair shops.I intend to be reimbursed the money that I spent in 2016 in relations to this truck that means a great deal to me.hopefully this can be resolved with pursuing legal actions and SOCIAL MEDIA exsposure..tony knows that he and his establishment failed to produce results in this case and they should simply reimburse me for this failure and except that they failed to produce results.I AM SENDING MY VEHICLE TO ANOTHER AUTO REPAIR SHOP FOR THEM TO INSPECT ASSESS AND REPAIR THE DAMAGE DONE BY TONYS AUTO REPAIR.I will forward the information once it is ascertained.

Review: I took my ** to [redacted]'s shop after speaking with [redacted] concerning several issues that I notice with my vehicle(passenger side windshield becoming foggy, smoke coming from inside of car on passenger side and passenger floor mat soaking wet after rain). [redacted] told me that was my heater core and when he replace it the issues will be resolved. Total cost of repair will be $800. The day I picked up my vehicle I notice a worker inside my sunroof and I assume they were putting everything back together because per [redacted] this type of repair, a lot of parts had to be removed. A couple of days later we had a bad rain and I notice the floor on the passenger side was soaking wet. I immediately called [redacted] and explain to him want was occurring. He stated, " that might be your window seal. When you get a chance we can take it to my man that repair windows". That just didn't sit well with me so, I took my vehicle to the shop and spoke with a guy that stated that he was [redacted] son. I explain to him that I was dissatisfied with the work that I had done and the issue wasn't resolved and [redacted] stating that it was my windshield. He stated, " No, that's not your windshield, let me call him([redacted])". He explained to [redacted] my situation and I heard him say, "No! dad, that's not the windshield." [redacted] asked to speak with me and stated, " Honey, I only do automotive work not cosmetic". I explain to [redacted] the wet floor was part of my original complaint and he said he could fix it. Upon ending our conversation [redacted] states, " Well, I don't know what to tell you." I ended the call and decided to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: I feel that part of the issue wasn't resolved and I paid $800 for incomplete work. My car smell horrible and 2 documents were destroyed because I had them on the passenger side floor.

Business

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who stated that the customer came in with issues with a leak causing wet carpet and the right windshield fogging up. The diagnosis was a leaking heater coil, which they replaced. The owner stated that the dashboard was taken apart, and there was found to be a leak on the heater coil that they removed. He stated the customer then returned saying that there was a leak with her sunroof/window. The owner states he advised her that he was not able to handle that issue, and would refer her to a glass shop. He stated that the work was performed correctly, and he will not offer a refund.

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]I am not satisfied with this resolution because I never stated that it was my sunroof. [redacted] told me that the issues that I originally went for(including the wet passenger side floor was wet) will be fix. And it is not fix. As of today my car smell awful from the rain we received. I feel that [redacted] took my $800 because the issue still exist. I'm not even sure if he replaced the heater coil.I feel [redacted] should take my car somewhere that it can be fix correctly and pay for the charges.
