Staff Member (if you know): **No Response**Complaint Information: Not refunding customers deposits is not a normal practice of Tony's Auto Sales. Only due to special circumstances is a deposit not refunded. As is the case in this particular situation. Below is a list of reasons there deposit was not refunded. Vehicle was held for over two weeks for the customer, also was put in the shop and received the proper service and safety check that goes with a purchase. Due to the fact that the vehicle was taken out of the market and held up for over two weeks along with a service repair order totaling well over the deposit amount. Sent on: 12/4/2015 1:20:52 PM
Review: At the time I went to tony's to look for a car, I found a car that I was interested in, at which point I filled out a credit check form and left a $100 deposit to hold the car. Upon a call to tony's to inform them that I would not be taking the car due to prolonged process payment of insurance check. I then asked for my refund to be credited to my checking account, at which time they said no we will not refund you. I told them that their refund policy was never mentioned prior or during our conversation, and if it had been mentioned I would have never left a deposit. Nor did I sign any contract of obligation to purchase the car. Nor did I receive any paperwork stating their refund policy. The receipt that I was given has no statement of any kind regarding refund policies either.Desired Settlement: I put $100. down to secure a hold on the car. And I want the money returned.
