Re: Tonys lawn mgmt L.L.C
The landscaper that we hired to grade yard, install sprinkler irrigation, curbing, and sod on 3/24 took 16 days (over 2 weeks) to complete project. During this 16 day period, Tony stored his bobcat machine and trash on my property—he did not attempt to clean up mess until the last day of project and never asked for permission to store his equipment on our property.
He broke my yard side wall with his bobcat during excavation, damaged the neighbor’s pool pump and let her dog out. It took Tony and his employee approximately 30 minutes to chase the neighbor’s dog down and bring her back. He didn’t offer to repair the pool equipment ($100 worth of damage), but had the block wall repaired. He left the cinder blocks in a pile in my yard for 2 weeks.
He let my dog out on 4/1 while no one was home and didn’t notify me. We got a call from someone in neighborhood and needed to go and pick my dog up in the evening.
He left open trenches for future sprinkler installation in back of house for 10 days and the trenches that he dug in front are still open on 4/9 (trenches were dug on 3/24). His original invoice included front and back sprinkler irrigation setup, but when all was “said and done” he only accomplished the backyard system.
When he did finally install the sprinkler system (around day 13 after we threatened to go to Pro referral), he left leaking lines and sprinkler risers at least 2 inches above sod! We needed to explain to him that sprinklers should be flush with the sod to prevent damage when mowing etc. We also needed to tell him to install backflow prevention—something that every seasoned landscaper should understand.
Tony appeared to never be in a hurry or concerned about any type of deadline-he would not show up when promised and when he did show up it was mid-morning with an early afternoon “clock out”.
Overall, we feel that we could have done a better job as novices with other full-time day jobs than Tony and his “one-man crew” accomplished in 16 days. Our advice to anyone considering yard install, is to bumble through it on your own-you’ll save money, frustration, and time! I’m giving Tony’s lawn management LLC 1 star because his curbing contractor did a great job and the sod finally appeared as promised.

Professional and very good work
