The place was cute. It's actually the whole reason I chose this office because I thought it would be more fun and appealing to my kids... BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!
I really wish I'd done my homework on this one. I don't buy anything without scrutinizing the details and yet I bought this place based on the pretty packaging... DO NOT BE FOOLED!
The office told me my child needs tons of work... WHICH SHE DOESN'T! I spent hundreds of dollars to begin fixing her cavities. She laid STRAPPED DOWN and SEDATED on the table for TWO HOURS while they worked. They WILL NOT let parents back to be with their children while they are doing their procedure. They came out to assure me she was doing fine and get my approval to continue once. I wanted to get it over with so I agreed, assuming my happy-go-lucky child was fine. As I went back to get her, I heard her start crying from behind the door. I've never seen her in that state before or since then. It's COMPLETELY out of character for her! I decided then I would get a second opinion before returning to do more work.
2 months later, I'm flossing her teeth and 2 huge chunks fall out. They were her fillings! I called in the next morning an got an appointment right away. It was MISERABLE! They wanted to charge me $99 just to get in the door to see the dentist to determine what was wrong. When she finally got in for a lower fee they "discovered" they could charge, the dentist belittled me, insinuated that I hadn't been caring for my child's teeth and completely denied any fault in the 2 month old fillings falling out. She did not offer to fix it on her bill, only said that it happens sometimes. They tried giving me some BS "discount" but it's just terrible business practice to not fix something that went wrong on your medical procedure after that short of a period of time!!!!!!!
To add insult to injury, my daughter started crying on the table (which I INSISTED on being with her during this exam) and the dentist said "Oh, why are you crying? Don't be silly!" No reassurance, no comforting, no explanation of what was going on.... just belittled her for being a scared child! DISGUSTING!
We finally got up and left. It was like pulling teeth to get the office staff to give me her records. Then they tried to pull more BS trying to charge me for the xrays I had ALREADY PAID for. It was a complete and total nightmare!
I am so embarrassed that I ever even took my children here! I chose this dentist because she was on my insurance's short list of pediatric dentists. Now, I could care less. I will be paying out of pocket somewhere else where decent, ethical people work.... and you should too!
