To Whom It May Concern: As residents and members of the resident council at Glade Valley Center in Walkersville, Maryland, we would like to express our concerns about our overall care at this facilityMany of us have resided at this facility over the years in both the bridge to home portion and/or long-term care sectionAdditionally, we have resided in other facilities or had/have families in other facilitiesWe were extremely happy at Glade Valley but this happiness has slowly been dissipating over the past yearWe have observed or overheard from staff members that there is a shortage of staff which is overextending the current staff and contributing to lack of quality care for us The lack of adequate staffing has led to our dissatisfaction of care in the following ways: o Water bottles/cups are not refreshed daily o Not enough staff to assist in the dining room or with room meal deliveries which results in cold and inedible meals o Not enough staff to check on resid
