Review: On June 15, 2015, I decided to take some pricey clothing to them to clean and press, including an expensive blouse I bought. To my surprise upon picking up my items on June 18, 2015, my expensive blouse had a cut on the sleeve which they neglected to mention. I noticed it when I unpacked it to put away. I found it odd that it was bundled together with the other blouses, but it seemed to conceal the damage by doing so. I immediately called the store to let them know of this damage hoping they would work with me. When I called I spoke with the owner/manager, [redacted], and she bluntly suggested I cut off the sleeves myself. I advised her that the tear on the blouse was as a result of the work they did. I advised her that it was a new blouse and a professional blouse I use for work. She asked me to bring the blouse in to look at it.When I dropped it off on 06/26/15 (as agreed), she was not available so I left it with the request for her to call me back. She called me days later. Upon speaking with her, she acknowledged that the cut appeared that it was sliced and likely done during cleaning, but still insisted in cutting off the sleeves. I advised her that would not be acceptable for my work. She suggested her only other alternative was to patch it up. Being a crisp white blouse, I told her a patch would make the tear even more visible considering it was on the outside part of the sleeve near the shoulder. I countered for her to reimburse me for the cleaning fee of $5.45 and the cost of the blouse of $60 since it is no longer wearable. She agreed to look into it and call me back. Since then, I've left countless call back messages and have stopped by to talk with her and she has yet to remedy this. Now, it appears my calls go straight to voicemail. How does a cleaning business not take calls? I've lost a blouse and the fee she charged me to clean it. This place is not holding itself accountable to it's customers to correct their mistakes.Desired Settlement: I have asked for reasonable compensation:The blouse cost me $60 before taxes and was in new condition only being worn once. I would like reimbursement for the full value of my loss.In addition, I would like the cost of cleaning the blouse of $5.45 also reimbursed.I am requesting this business to hold itself accountable for it's negligence and damage to my personal property by reimbursing me a total of $65.45.
