Review: On Friday, May 23, 2014 Top Dog Handyman Services came to my home to paint and do some minor repairs. The painting was advertised as $695 for 2 workers for 8 hours. Additional repairs were at the rate of $89 a man hour. There were 4 men who came to my house. One man [redacted], walked the job. He then gave directions to another man [redacted], who did the wall repairs and painted along with the other 2 men. [redacted] left for another job and said that he would be back to do my repairs before the end of the day.At the end of the 8 hours, [redacted] came back and said that he was held up but that my repairs would get done because I asked them to come back the next day to continue painting.For that day, I paid a $79 service fee, $695 for 2 painters, $890 for technicians services and $33.42 for the supplies to do my repair work. I had already purchased all of the painting supplies at a local paint store so that Top Dog did not incur any costs for those items.The next day when the men returned to finish painting the top area of my house I had a dispute with [redacted], the company's owner over the cost of the painters because he insisted that they were not painters, but technicians and therefore he wanted to charge $89 and hour for each of them.He told me that the $695 was a 1 time only deal, although the previous day when we made arrangements for his men to return I asked him about the price to confirm that it was the same. He said that he did not remember that conversation but his associate, [redacted], who was sitting across from me at the time did acknowledge that he heard me ask the question.That is another story because I believe that [redacted] is not ethical in his advertising, but at this time my complaint is that my home repairs were never done.On the first day of work in my home, I paid for 10 hours of technicians' services and only received 8 hours work. [redacted] left after giving directions to the others and did not come back until it was time for them to leave.Desired Settlement: I believe that I should be reimbursed for 2 hours of technicians services ($178) that I paid for, but did not receive.I would also like a receipt or the name of the store where the products that were bought to do my repairs were purchased so that I could return them since they were not used.Finally, just a comment, because when the workers left my home, they took all of the painting supplies that I had paid for separately with them, although not all of those supplies were for their use.
