This is not an accurate status. I did not acknowledge the business’s response on purpose because the business has NOT yet sent me the refund check. I am waiting to receive the check before updating the status. Also, I expect a full refund ($2650) of the amount in dispute. The business’s response did NOT indicate an amount they were refunding. So if they do send a check and it is less than the amount, I will have to sue them for the restPlease re-open the complaint as pending resolution (since the business has not followed through yet other than writing a response to you, the Revdex.com). I will update it when the matter is closed. Review: In August, 2015, I contacted Top Dog Retrievers about purchasing a yellow Labrador Retriever puppy from them. On September 5th, I drove several hours to visit the kennels and their caretakers, [redacted] and [redacted], and paid a $200 deposit to them for a puppy from a future litter. That check was cashed by TDR on September 9th.

Since that time, it has been extremely difficult to have any real communication with TDR. Texts go unanswered and phone calls are very seldom returned. Their website is often not updated and so there is no way to track the birth of the puppy one would be purchasing.

On December 15th, I sent a certified letter to TDR to let them know how frustrated I had become in trying to communicate with them and that I had made the decision to work with another breeder who was more responsive. I requested a refund of my $200 deposit.

I never received a response to that letter and I have called and texted repeatedly to ask for the return of my deposit. To date, I have had no response from them about this request and I now need help in getting my deposit refunded. I am hoping that the Revdex.com will have some way of finding and contacting the owner(s) of TDR so that they can be informed of how seriously lacking their kennel caretakers are in their customer support.Desired Settlement: I simply want a refund of my $200 deposit.
