Top-End Motorwerks Reviews (1)

Review: Oil leak issue/Engine stop first happened after they replaced valve cover gasket. (Have pictures of oil leak). Dropped the car on 09/29/2014 to take care of oil leak and engine stop issue. Top-end claims they repaired oil leak on 09/30/2014. They couldn't find any clue for engine stop issue. Picked up the car 10/01/2014, but the car still leaked oil at the same spot. Re-visited Top-end on 10/06/2014 for the oil leak issue. On 10/07/2014, Top-end claimed exhaust cam actuator is leaking the oil. Not sure why it suddenly leaks the oil, but they replaced Camshaft Actuator. Charged $459.57 to Warranty and $11.77 to me. I found the car has oil drops underneath the car. Top-end said the oil leak would go away after few days. Picked up the car on 10/07/2014 and at the same day, the engine light came up and the engine stopped in the middle of freeway. On 10/08/2014, the car was towed to Top-end and I asked to have enough time to repair the oil leak and engine stop issue. No updated from Top-end until 10/21/2014. Tried to call them and Top-end says the car is ready. On 10/29/2014, I picked up the car. They said the Mass Airflow Sensor is faulty. I do not understand why this suddenly fails. They charged $331.43 to Warranty for Mass Airflow Sensor and $50 for towing fee. They said they also fixed the oil leak. On 12/03/2014, Volvo of Orange County confirmed that the car is still leaking the oil at the same spot.Top-end is not honest. On 11/25/2014, we dropped the car to Top-end because suspension noise started after I picked up the car from Top-end on 10/29/2014. On 11/26/2014, Top-end says that the upper strut mounts are separated and both of the lower control arms are noisy because both control arm bushings are cracked. They recommended to replace faulty front upper strut mounts. The required parts are Strut Mount Bushing (part #:[redacted]), Strut Mount Plate (part #:[redacted]), Strut Washer (part #:[redacted]). They also recommended to replace faulty lower control arms. The required parts are Lower control arm (part#: [redacted]) and Control Arm (part#: [redacted]). The total service charge including alignment was $1514.76. I refused to have service from Top-end and I went to dealership (Volvo of Orange County) investigate suspension noise. Dealer confirmed that suspension/control arm bushings are not broken (dealer says it is in as-new condition). No noise heard from the control arms. Dealer replaced front upper spring seats (part#: [redacted]) to repair the suspension noise. Dealer confirmed that the Strut Mount Place is actually functioning fine.Desired Settlement: I would want to repair the oil leaking issue from Volvo dealership as I cannot trust Top-end anymore. I request Top-end to take care of all the cost for repairing the oil leak issue at Volvo dealership. Please provide explanation of inspection.
