resorting to this form in order to see if I can get something done. We got an estimate from House MD to paint our houseIt was for $5,We gave David F* no time line to finishHe does home repairs in and around the county as wellHe would often tell us he was leaving to go do a quick job and would either come back same day of the nextThis was all OK with usThen one day he said he was going to have his son come in and help him outHe wanted us to know who this other person wasThere were a few times when he(David F*) would not show up but his son wouldHe would tell us his dad was on another jobThey did a fantastic job of painting the houseNo complaints thereWe were requested to pay half the bid ($2568.00) before he started which we didWhen the final bill came in it was for $the overage was for a gallon of paint which we requestedThe complaint is for a bill he presented charging us and extra $for the hours his son had come to helpWe seethe following as the problem:We were never told there was to be an extra payment for his sons helpAssumed it was to come out of the bid amount we still owed himHow can we be charged extra for his sons time on days when MrFi*** out on other jobs still collecting his fee from us?Would there not have to be some type of written agreement signed saying there was to be a charge, discussion of his wage and days he would be working?
