In mid-October, we contacted Top Gun Restoration to perform roof repairs and find out where water intrusion was coming from in the finished basement of our house, which we are renting out The date on the written estimate was 11/5/14, but we did not receive the written estimate until 12/19/after contacting the company several times requesting it The estimate only included the roof repair and refinishing the downstairs bedroom and nothing about the cause of the water intrusion I called the estimator, left a message and never got a return call A week and a half later I called again and finally talked to him He apologized for the delay and said he was busy and that the project was on his "back burner", his exact words I asked if I could trust him to complete the repairs in a timely manner, or if I should go elsewhere since he was so busy He assured me he would be able to complete the repairs However, when asked about the cause of the water stains, he said he had no idea what was causing it and I would have to contact another company to find the cause The estimate was ONLY to refinish the room without repairing the water leak After deciding in mid-January to only perform the roof repair, I called and also wanted to add an estimate for replacing the basement windows Two weeks later (towards the end of January) I called back asking for THAT estimate I was told by the very helpful woman answering phones that she did not see anything on the account for windows and would have the estimator call me back That never happened Two weeks later (beginning of February) I called again, and again was told there was no information on the windows and someone would call I explained the headaches I had been having and I told her I needed a call that same day (2/12/15) or I would have to cancel the project and go with someone else She apologized profusely and said someone would call me that day I never received a call Today (2/17/15) I called asking to speak to a manager to ensure they knew why I was cancelling the project I finally got a call back from the original estimator who denied telling me this was on his back burner and made excuses about the estimate being in my renter's name, even though I clarified in December that I was the one they needed to keep informed because I was the one authorizing and paying for the project After never speaking with a manager, I finally told the estimator I had completely lost confidence in thier company on completing the repairs, doing what I needed done and standing behind their work I ultimately cancelled the project and went elsewhere It should also be noted that today was the very first time I have ever received a call back from anyone at this company about a project that was started three and a half months ago I have called numerous times and only once (today) received a return call, and that was after asking to talk to management to cancel the project

In 2014, I had my Insurance Company inspect my roof, and they said that it needed to be replaced. So, with their recommendation, I went with Top Gun Cleaning and Restoration Inc.

My major concerns with dealing with this company:
1- Lack of communication; They don't do very well at keeping the customer informed throughout the roofing process. A lot of apologizes!
2- My roof was replaced on 6-5-2015. On 8-14-2015, I decided to call the regional office to see why they have not sent an inspector to inspect my roof. I was informed by them, that Top Gun never pulled a permit before doing the work. This is negligent and as a roofing company they should know better!
3-Quality of the work. They have seemed to have done a good job replacing my roof, but I won't know how well, until it has been inspected and signed off.

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with in any capacity. They lack professionalism, expertise, communication and knowledge of their business. It took nearly three month's to complete a renovation of a bathroom and put carpet in a bedroom. Their process of everything from assessing value, damage and replacement is deplorable. They blame everyone but themselves for their lack of expertise. [redacted] is a wonderful insurance company and they even blamed them. DO NOT USE THIS GROUP!
