*** *** also claims that money for the Painting was received, when all

any work pending to continue, or be finished

All the work was done and completed in a timely matter, and was done correctlyThe crew was present, and the owner stopped by from time to time to inspect the jobBefore the job was completed, the crew asked the homeowner if the job was approved, and she agreed,
and also paid for the job upon agreementThe ceiling color that was painted the wrong color, was fixed the same day for no extra charge due to the paint store's error., and we apologized for the inconvenienceDuring no time was the homeowner ever blamed, we simple corrected thisThe radiator was in fact dented already before we painted, an d there were various dents on the existing before even touched. The was in fact blamed on us without proof The electric covers were not removed because it is an antique, and if it cracked or broke during the process of removal, it would take us time to order, and money to replaceThey WERE however cleaned properly after our procedureThe Hardwood Floor that there was ONE piece BEHIND a radiator that was short, was fixed promptly after the phone call received to notify us about itDuring no time at all did we ever refuse to accommodate the homeowners requestsAll of the guys that were present spoke English, they had ACCENTS which apparently is amusing to the homeowner, but they did communicate with her, and if at any time their accent was so heavy to the point to be hard to understand, the office was always available to clarify any questionsThe crack in the living room ceiling was done correctly to the best extent that could be doneDuring the estimate, the owner explained that cracks usually reappear, especially if taped before (which hers had) and that it could reappearHe explained that we did not build the house, so by no means could we guarantee that it would never return. The homeowner asked us to do the best we could, and she would try her luckThe painters hang plastic on the walls NEVER to keep the homeowner from seeing what is going on the job site, but solely to keep any dust or dirt away from the other rooms, and belongings In our email we explained after the crack reappeared that If the crack is reappearing what we are trying to explain to the homeowner is that the house is old, and that the underlying cause of the crack could be something else, the beams, of the house, the structure, so the reappearance of the crack can not be blamed on a "poor job" we did all we could to insure that it would hold up if the underlying cause was not structuralFor it to reappear this quick, it's definitely something else. Also we do offer a warranty but NEVER for cracks, our warranty covers PEELING PAINT onlyThis does not mean we are not honoring our warranty. Also, just to prove that we DO NOT disappear once we receive our money, we returned after we were paid to correct the floors, an exterior job that was done separately, we came back to touch up, and never refused to correct anything that the homeowner was not 100% satisfied withAt the time of the work, not only were we paid for the job that the homeowner agreed was approved, but also awarded us in other jobs in the exterior of the house as well

Dero's painting ruined my house Painting the outside of my house while it was wet, sanding while it was wet etc...causing the entire house to peel within a week! The owner was argumentative and threatened me to the point we had him arrested He sued me for payment and was denied, the court ruled for him to pay me the maximum in small claims based on my evidenceI am still trying to collect on this judgement of $5,

[redacted] hired us to do the carpentry and painting of his
house. However, when the work was being done, never was the quality an issue.
The problem began when [redacted]
emailed us regarding the A/C unit not working properly, stating it had
been covered by our crew, when it...

had NEVER been covered in the first place.
Regardless, we took the time to come out and meet with [redacted] to test it
and see what the problem was. During the time that we were at the property, the
AC UNIT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY. It was on, and the room was nice and cool. After
this,  according to our terms of payment,
we required a middle payment for the work performed up to date, and  he did provide it to us in a smoothly fashion,

the Office house. We were then ready to begin the painting job, and even sent
the crew out to check all windows and walk the property on Friday to prepare
for the commencement of the work on Monday. After this [redacted] asked that
we waited a few days so he could discuss the job scope with his spouse, and asked
that we did not perform any  work during
this time.  We waited two weeks, and at
that time, we needed to ask for the balance because our workers were standing
by. He then emailed us at the end of the two weeks and  asked to stop any work scheduled. At this
time, all work (carpentry wise) has been competed  and the balance of $2,961.00 remained. Soon
after this, we received this complaint, stating that WE owed him for the work.
[redacted] also claims that money for the Painting was received, when all
funds received from [redacted] were applied to the carpentry ONLY. Nothing
paint wise was received/done. In our experience, it does not make sense for the
customer to ask for the work to be stopped when money is owed by the
contractor. We believe that if any funds were owed by us, [redacted] would ask
any work pending to continue, or be finished.

Dero's painted our new 2450 sq ft condo. He gave us an extremly fair price, gave us a timeline and followed through completely. The workers were very professional. They cleaned up every day, arrived early each morning and did not stop working until they left. They are precision painters.

The issue with this customer has been resolved, and the customer has agreed that she would close the file with Revdex.com. Both of us came into agreement and settled this situation.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:

I don't want this to become a he said/she said.  But the response from Dero's was totally predictable, and not at all out of character with what they already put us through.
1.  I was home the entire time Dero workers were on our property and the owner never showed up once.  Even when we were plagued with issues, my husband and I were quite surprised that he never stopped by, called, or at least ever asked us if we were satisfied with the jobs.  He simply disappeared after our initial contact.  And I did make a point of asking him if he would be present to supervise, and he told us yes.
2.  Our home is 29 years old.  Hardly an antique.  I easily removed the electrical plates myself by removing the single screw.  I replaced the plate that they discarded by ordering it online.  They are not unusual nor are they expensive,  Hardly an antique that would crumble if you tried to take them off.  There were two painters working the job.  One did remove a few of the covers, because he knew it was the correct way to paint .  I caught his helper painting a big circle around the outlet covers which were still attached to the wall. I called him out on it on the spot, and the main painter corrected him.  After they left for the day, I went into that room and removed all of the covers that remained for fear the painter never would.
3. Dero's did send the floor guy back to fix the floor, but I believe it was only because I withheld the last payment until the floor was completed.
Now the main and only issue pending is this huge crack that reappeared in my ceiling.  When [redacted] came to look at the work that needed to be done, NEVER did he imply that the crack could not be fixed.  This is a blatant misrepresentation of the truth.  If that were the case, we absolutely would NOT have hired Dero's and would have hired a company with the ability to fix it properly, as this was one of the primary things we wanted repaired. By looking at the crack today, I see no evidence that it was ever taped.  I spoke to a drywall contractor who knows our home well.  He examined the crack around the same time as [redacted] did, and he said that it needed to be taped.  In Dero's response to you, they state that "the owner explained that the cracks usually reappear", and I reportedly replied  "Oh, let's try our luck!"   My husband was right with us at the entire time, and we would both swear under oath that this conversation never took place.  Again, DERO's would never have gotten ANY of our business if they were not able to do it all.  I explained to [redacted], that we were looking to do business with a single contractor only, who could manage the jobs accordingly, and do it all.  The only reason that my husband allowed them to complete the outside jobs is that he already sent them deposits, and was basically hoping for the best.  He's a man with integrity, who tries to finish anything he starts, and will fulfill any promise that he makes.  He would never hire Dero's to do anything outside of our home ever again.  Sloppy work that you must police constantly, and they were called back to make corrections..  They say that their warranty covers only peeling paint.  That is absolutely NOT what they implied to us.  The said that ALL of their work is guaranteed.  Bottom line is , they did a quick cover up job on our ceiling and never taped it as was necessary,  Sure it looked okay when they were finished.  This is why we signed off on the job.  Never in a zillion years would we think that it was never taped, so it re-cracked, and here we are.
On Monday, August 11th, we will have a reputable drywall contractor visit our home and access the crack situation.  We will see what he says.  He will tell us what was done wrong and how to correct it, and the cost attached.  I will forward that information to  you.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
