hired them to reline chimney for 1100$ Once job was started, "problems encountered" Cost of job immediately jumped to 3000$ On top of that, workers forgot to shut boiler off when they disconnected it from the chimney Major black soot was blown throughout the house when boiler kicked on to make hot water No compensation offered to clean the soot that was a direct result of their error! The issue with Mr. [redacted] steps have been resolved. We were in contact with him, the entirety of the issue, and explained to him, that it would take some time, due to his project was completed. We had other larger projects that were still open, and because, of weather it was urgent...

that, we finished them. He seemed to be understanding of the explanation but, by his numerous complaints to different agencies we, now know he was not as agreeable as we thought. We submitted a negative review of Top Notch last week for not showing up four times to repair our chimney and install chimney caps. To their credit Top Notch received the review and immediately acted upon it. They called yesterday and sent a repair person, in the time frame stated, this morning to do the work. A Sunday morning. It's good to see a company read their customer reviews and act in kind. Thank you Top Notch.

I asked for estimate of some masonry and other handiwork. The salesman/worker Eric was so arrogant and full of himself (8 years experience!) would rather argue and say it is impossible to do what I am asking than give estimates on what he/company can do. Estimate to tear down and put back two rows of stair bricks was $4500 and he had the gall to ask me if I live in this world.

chimney repair and cleaning, we sent out our representative [redacted] who is qualified and trained in these types of repairs. [redacted] found that the walls in [redacted] firebox had fine cracks he gave her two options, one was to replace the walls completely and the other option was to seal the cracks with heatstock (it is a heat resistant material, not at all a paint), she opted for the repair. On, the scheduled date agreed upon by [redacted] we sent our technician to complete, the work that was provided and signed by both [redacted] and [redacted] on the contract. It included the $29 chimney cleaning and $621, for the chimney repair, minus a $50 discount the total cost of the job was $600. On, completion of the work [redacted] appeared to be satisfied, and was present when our technician called the payment into the office, had she expressed her dissatisfaction at that time we would have taken every step to resolve the issue. At anytime including after the "inspection", [redacted] could have contacted the office or me directly and we would have resolved the issue for her. It is true, the work performed did take less than an hour, however we are guarantee that everything included on the contract was completed. We are family owned and operated, I assure you we do not intimidate our customer's in anyway. The technician we sent out is a relative of mine, he is young, well mannered, and soft spoken, he would never come off as threatening. In conversing with him [redacted] told him that she was selling her home, and in his attempt to follow the conversation, he did ask her if she lived alone. We, at Top Notch 1 Construction, value our reputation and our good name means more to us than, any amount of money. We, have attempted to contact [redacted] to inform her directly that we have gladly returned the money she is requesting  since, receiving the complaint yesterday and she has not answered nor returned our calls.
