There are several factors involved as to why I feel that we did not put oil in the brake system. First of all, we do not do "quick" oil changes. We do complete oil changes with a safety inspection. Secondly, the technician that performed the oil change has over years
experience and specializes in brakes and front end repair. Lastly, our company policy is to not top off brake fluid if it is noted that it is low during routine maintenance. The reason for this policy is that if your brake fluid is low, you brake system should be inspected for any sign of a leak, or more commonly low brake linings (pads or shoes)Brake systems do not just need to be topped off under circumstances.
