Absolutely Terrible Service Provider - Showed up with a 20 year old hedge trimmer that was clearly not up for the job. Took 3 hours to trim 5 feet of hedge then left. Came back 3 hours later and asked for full payment. Do not hire this business for ANY project.

Not completing tree service in our common area plus not finishing individual homeowners contract.
We contracted with Top Notch to hurricane trim all palm trees in our common area of Grove Isle. Also individual homeowners paid to have their trees trimmed on private property. Top Notch did not complete the common area trees and refused to complete the job.
They also would not complete the 8 homes in our community that they did not complete, after I supplied copies of cancelled checks made out to Top Notch nor would they provide a refund.
I am the Board of Directors President in Grove Isle.

Desired Outcome

As stated above, either want them to complete the job or refund the money paid.

Top Notch had been contracted as we have for 12 years to trim out common areas within Grove Isles, also to trim 3 palm trees in front of homes for individuals as it did for the last 12 years. We had issues with the new gentleman in charge whom we never dealt with the past 11 years. It was mutually decided that Top Notch would no longer be the company to provide the tree trimming. All the tree trimming work that was paid for was completed. The new guy in charge did not like the trimming that was done and wanted Top Notch to trim again. All the work paid for was completed just as it had the prior 11 years. Once the mutual agreement to no longer be the trimmer for Grove Isles was finalized, Top Notch would no longer provide services to Grove Isles. All work paid for was completed.

It is obvious this problem will go round and round. Top Notch did not complete the community tree job as they had done before.
Reference whatever was paid for WAS DONE is UNTRUE. there were 10 homes in the community whose private trees were not trimmed. Top Notch requested copies of cancelled checks which for most I was able to supply. They would not trim the 10 homes not done and ONLY RETURNED ONE REFUND TO ONE HOMEOWNER.
This are the facts that they will not admit to.
Grove Isle HOA

This company did a large landscaping job for me. Immediately some of the same kind of plant were dying (there were 23 of these planted). I started reporting problems May 29th. I was reimbursed for the 1 that died but they continued to die off so I reported again June 22. and was reimbursed for 5 total. July 18th I requested that someone come and fill in all the empty areas where all the plants had died off and was told that someone would fix it. Aug 22 I emailed pics and how upset I was that no one had come yet, I got no reply. August 31 I called the business, was told the secretary was on the other line and would call me back, Sept 4 the call was returned in which I was given the owner ***'s cell number so I could deal with him directly. He assured me he would fix it on Sept 4th. Oct 3 I texted *** asking when he is coming, no reply received. Oct 4th I called him and said he would be there in a few days. Exchanged a few more calls and put offs and finally he came Oct 15th and installed shriveled up dying plants and looks absolutely horrible. I sent a text with no reply so called the next day. *** denies that the plants are dying and I am supposed to water them. I explained that these are clearly not healthy plants and sent a pic to him via text but I agreed to humor him and water them by hand daily. He explained he bought them from a nursery and would show me the receipt. I have documentation of every phone call to them, emails and texts. Also I have taken pics from the beginning of the problem. Other plants have died but was past the 90 day warrantee. This owner does not stand behind his work or have any pride in his business. Once the job is done and money is paid they do not want to honor any guarantees they advertise. I paid top dollar for this work and all I wanted was what I paid for and feel that I have not been taken seriously. I have read some reviews on this business similar complaints to mine so apparently this is how they conduct business.

Desired Outcome

Replacement I would like a replacement of healthy plants or a refund that involves extra money for labor for me to pay another professional to fix the job, I have been EXTREMELY patient for way longer than anyone in my position would have been. A civil suit is my next move. I have call history logs to the business and ***'s cell phone, texts, emails and pics that I have sent him and the business as proof however it will not allow me to download all of these.
