In November 2017, this vendor removed an emergency shutoff valve from my unit and moved it to an adjacent unit that now controls water for both units. In the event of an emergency, I have no access to the shutoff valve. This goes against California State building code *** of the Water Supply and Distribution. When asked why this was done, the plumber stated he was "directed to". This is not satisfactory as I still do not have access to an emergency water shut off which could cause catastrophic damage to my unit in the event of a water pipe break.
Repair Move existing emergency shutoff valve to outside of my unit so that I, as the owner, have immediate access.
