Review: I hired Top Priority Moving and Storage of [redacted] to moved my goods from Astoria NY to Ca on June **,2013. I found out after more than a month that their license was revoked on June ** and I have made repeated calls even to the owner [redacted] who called me back after 2 weeks and he said probably Monday which I presume was Aug.*. Until now I haven't heard from the company, all my calls were to a voice mail, not returned, my email not answered..I have found out that several people have similar complaints and the NY DOT. and Rescue move is now involved. I also issued them a personal check of $1000.00 which was deposited, cashed? In a Florida Citibank branch which was not even endorsed in the back.Desired Settlement: Delivery of all my goods

Due to the temporary closing of the company, we were unable to deliver or store the customer's items. We were in contact with the customer and since then we have transferred the storage account to her name and she is solely responsibly for her items while in storage as well as storage payments. Good have been released to customer.

Review: Top Priority Moving and Storage picked my furniture and belongings up on 08/**/2014 and promised to deliver by contract to the ACE Storage Facility located in [redacted]. They have never delivered the items and I paid them $1,447.40 up front. I have contacted their office over 40 times and they insisted that I pay $236.00 more for the storage fee where they have my things stored. I paid the storage fee and they still refuse to deliver my furniture and personal belongings. A lady named [redacted] answers the phone and promises that as soon as a dispatcher is driving to California again, that my things will be delivered to my current address.Desired Settlement: I want my furniture and personal belongings delivered to me at my current address with no additional fees attached.

Review: I was quoted twice a price to move from Jamaica NY to Stone Mountain Ga 2000.00 then it was reduced to 1806.00 when the movers show up the forman [redacted] said they do that to all the people sales. After they were loading the truck they told me it would be 3405.00 I gave them 253.00 deposit 1750.00 dollars, now they have had my stuff since July **, 2014 and they are asking for more money to deliver my stuff. They actually are asking for 750-800 more money. then they told me the remaining balance is due upon delivery. I also talk ed to the Attorney General & DEPT of Transportation they said that it is illegal

They told my wife that she would get a call July [redacted] before it would be delivered. They claim that it would be delivered on the [redacted] or [redacted] of AugDesired Settlement: I want my Stuff to be delivered

This Company has been defrauding people for 4 years or more. They have been reported to the [redacted] several times, had their license pulled and then restored several times. They have been reported to the ** State Atty. office and the local [redacted] Police several times.

They will:

1) Quote you a price by phone with no walk through, by the number of rooms.

2) Arrive late for the pick-up, so that you have already made arrangements for your hotels or planes, which you will then lose money on or have to pay their (Top Priority) extra charges... they will quote you on the spot supposedly re calculated upon the sq feet it will take up in the truck.

3) They will delay delivery by several weeks and then charge your credit card for storage before agreeing to deliver the shipment.

4) IF they ever deliver, there will be on-the-spot charges for either elevator/floor usage or driveway length. If you refuse they will threaten to take the shipment back and charge your credit card for the return trip.

5) Dodge your calls, refuse to answer e-mails, and refuse receipt of certified mail letters.

As of today, we are waiting 2 years and 16 days for my ** year old Father's household goods and his artwork. They charged him a deposit of $850 (Credit Card) and then demanded a check of $11,342 on site at his home when they arrived for shipping from [redacted] to [redacted]. They cashed the check during their lunch break, before finishing the load up of the truck.

They have changed phones and addresses 8 times in those two years, refuse to answer e-mails from us, and now will not call us back when we find a working phone number. Our next step is to contact the [redacted] and the US Atty General.

We have been informed by other Victims that Top Priority routinely holds sales and auctions of goods they picked up but never delivered despite getting paid and contacted by the rightful owners

[redacted] for [redacted]

I want all of the shipment returned or My father's paintings and personal possessions returned plus the $11,342 extra they charged us over the original payment. OR I want the [redacted] and the [redacted] to become involved in recovery of this shipment and prosecution of the perpetrators.

Review: Top Priority Moving (TPM) picked up my household goods for transport across the country on June **, 2013. The contract states that my items would be delivered within 21-28 days. As of today, I have NOT received my household items. I last spoke with TPM around July *, 2013, to check on the status of my items. TPM told me they were unable to provide me with an update. I have called TPM continuously since then and have not received a single response back.Desired Settlement: 1) I want my goods delivered ASAP!

Business

Response:

Delivery was delayed due to internal issues. We apologize for the inconvenience to the customer however after several attempts to contact the customer we were unable to as of September 2013.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The response from the business is unacceptable. The contract that was signed on the date of picking up my personal property on June **, 2013 states that I will receive my property within 28 days of the moved. I have contacted the business numerous time and was unsuccessful in getting any response to where about of my personal property. I received a phone from the owner stating that the company had gone under and that my

property was in storage. Its been 6 months since the mover picked up my personal property in Jersey City . The owner wanted to charge me for storage rentals for 2 months while my property was in storage. I was expecting my items to be moved from jersey city to San Mateo according the binding contract. I refuse to pay anymore money until I get my personal property. The owner wanted me to arrange a date to go get my stuff. He have already violated the contract agreement. Since my property hasn't been delivered to the agreed address. The owner contacted me but basically to harass me to pay for the storage fee. I received phone calls as well as txt message to pay. He even give me his personal account number for the bank so that I can deposit the storage fee. I've also been contacting the Jersey City District Attorney to get it resolved. I just want my property deliver to me in San Mateo as agreed per the binding contact . I feel that I shouldn't have to pay anymore money to the moving company since they haven't for filled the terms and conditions of their contract. my contact information is still the same. I also learned that Top Priority Moving lost their operation license in the state of NY 3 days prior to picking up my personal propriety . I was not advised of the problem and yet they still conduct business without a license.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: I have hired this moving co. Under contract to move me from Brooklyn New York to Myrtlebeach, SC on May **,2013. I paid the necessary deposit and then made a 400$payment upon their arrival to transport my property. Since then their business phone has been disconnected. I have 1telephone number for a man by the name [redacted] (keep in mind he refuse to give me his last name).apparently from him their business phone has had technical difficulty. I was only able to speak with him 2 since .I had been calling ,texting, and emailing for my property and have yet gotten a response. I Need Help!!!Desired Settlement: I would like my property. I would like a working telephone contact numberfor [redacted] who took my first deposit and or [redacted] who answered the work one time before disconnecting. If no properties I want the monetary value of my property. Have the list of all collected.

Review: Top Priority Movers were supposed to deliver our furniture and possessions to our new home in Florida on Wednesday, September *, 2014. It is now Monday, September *, 2014 and they still have not delivered our furniture. They have been unable to locate their driver for 2 days and have not given us an answer as to when we will be receiving our things. We are in a new state with children and are sleeping on the floor and don't have money for hotels or food. When I call the company, they refuse to give me any information except that they cannot locate their driver. I need someone to tell me where my things are and when we will be receiving them. I have called the company every day numerous times and they either don't pick up or ignore my calls.Desired Settlement: I want my things delivered immediately.

Sincerely,

Review: Top Priority Moving Company increased the price of our moving estimate, said the items were stored in 3 different states the 3 times they were asked, and did not return phone calls except to ask for more payment. They picked up our things in Brooklyn on 8-**-2014 to place into storage. The items were supposed to be delivered to Tennessee when we had a move in date. The increased price they charged was a financial strain for our military family and caused the move to be further postponed, and storage extended. My husband was in contact monthly to make the storage payment (which also increased from the quote.) Now, when we try to call, their numbers are disconnected, and emails fail to send. We are very, very concerned and just want to have Our belongings back as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: We want our items they moved returned to us. Whether they deliver like the contract says, or we even pick the things up ourselves. Of course we intend to pay what is owed. Please, this company has nearly everything we own, and we can't even contact them.

Review: This company gave an original binding contract of $2000, in which we were told that the price would not go up more than %10. We were told that the price included the fuel charge. An new contract was given to my husband to reflect discounts and the new contract was for $1812, minus a $253.15 deposit given to reserve the move. so total due according to the contract was $1600. On the day of the move we told we owed $1812, confused my husband spoke to [redacted] at Top Priority, we wrote a check for $1750 because that is all we had. We had a gurantee deliver day of July [redacted] 2014, but we kept getting put off and the delivery day kept getting pushed back. At one point my husband was told that he needed to give them $850 more to put it on the truck. Our belongings finally arrived on August [redacted] and we were told first that we owed $1753, and they would not release our property until it was paid. We argued the contract, eventually the price changed to $1350. Upon review of the invoice the driver had with him and additional 625 cf and fuel surcharge had been added. We were extorted for money.Desired Settlement: You can not change a contract and to add additional charges after a contract is signed is fraud. We want the additional money paid refunded, as the $1750 and the $253.15 concidered full payment according to the original contract.

Sincerely,

Review: I CONTRACTED THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ITEMS FROM PA TO FL. I SPECIFICALLY DETAILED WHAT WAS TO BE PICKED UP, INCLUDING THE WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONS OF A MOTORCYCLE. THE COMPANY SHOWED UP ILL EQUIPPED TO HANDLE MY MOTORCYCLE, HAVING ONLY 3 MEN OF UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE, WITH NO STEEL RAMPS OR ADEQUATE SAFETY MATERIALS TO MOVE THE MOTORCYCLE. AFTER TRYING TO PUSH IT UP A STEEP INCLINE MADE OF A HOMEMADE RAMP CONSISTING OF LESS THAN 1/2'' PLYWOOD FOR A BIKE WEIGHING OVER 750LBS, THEY DECIDED THEY COULD NOT LOAD THE MOTORCYCLE. I REQUESTED THAT THEY LEAVE AND BRING BACK A TRUCK THAT WAS EQUIPPED TO HANDLE THE MOTORCYCLE, AND THAT THEY COULD PICK EVERYTHING UP THE NEXT DAY. THE PERSON IN CHARGE, "[redacted]", CALLED HIS SUPERVISOR "[redacted]", WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND THE TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVER THE NEXT DAY (JULY *, 2013) TO PICK UP THE BIKE ON HIS WAY DOWN TO FLORIDA, AND THAT THEY WOULD TAKE THE OTHER ITEMS TO BE TRANSPORTED TODAY TO AVOID UNNECESSARY DELAYS THE NEXT DAY. THEY LOADED UP MY OTHER ITEMS, AND ASSURED ME THAT THE DRIVER OF THE TRAILER WOULD COME TOMORROW 9AM-11AM TO COLLECT THE MOTORCYCLE, AND WOULD CALL ME 30 MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVAL. NO DRIVER CAME OR CALLED. I PLACED SEVERAL CALLS TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LEFT MESSAGES, CALLED "[redacted]" ON HIS DIRECT CELL PHONE, AND SENT AN EMAIL TO "[redacted]" WHO ORIGINALLY QUOTED AND PLACED MY ORDER. NO ONE ANSWERED OR RESPONDED TO MY MESSAGES. I CALLED AGAIN ON JULY [redacted], ASKING SOMEONE TO CALL ME IMMEDIATELY AND THAT THE BIKE NEEDED TO BE PICKED UP AND DELIVERED ON JULY [redacted], WHICH WAS THE DATE I WAS PROMISED VERBALLY BY BOTH [redacted] AND [redacted]. NO ONE HAS CALLED BACK AND WE ARE DRIVING TO FLORIDA TOMORROW TO RECEIVE THE DELIVERY. THIS COMPANY ALSO ADVISED ME IN WRITING THAT I HAD TO PAY HALF OF THE TOTAL CHARGE IN CASH OR PERSONAL CHECK UPFRONT AND THE OTHER HALF IN CASH UPON DELIVERY. HOWEVER, WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY TOLD ME IF I PAID IN PERSONAL CHECK, THEN THEY WOULD NOT MOVE THE SHIPMENT UNTIL THE CHECK CLEARED, WHICH WOULD NOT BE FOR ANOTHER WEEK OR SO. THEY KNEW MY SHIPMENT HAD TO BE IN FLORIDA BY MONDAY, SO THEY LEFT ME WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY IN CASH. THEY ALSO INCREASED MY MOVE QUOTE FROM $1080 UP TO $1800, SAYING THAT THEY COULD NOT FIT THE ITEMS IN THE SPACE QUOTED. I ARGUED AND SPOKE WITH [redacted] ABOUT THE "BAIT AND SWITCH" AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO UNLOAD THE TRUCK AND NOT TAKE MY ITEMS UNLESS I PAID THE INCREASED AMOUNT. I TOLD HIM I HAD BEEN SPECIFIC ABOUT WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONS OF EVERYTHING TO [redacted] AND THAT SHE HAD PURPOSELY QUOTED LESS IN ORDER TO GET THE ORDER. HE REDUCED THE PRICE TO $1500, WHICH WAS STILL $500 MORE THAN WHAT WAS QUOTED AND MORE THAN OTHER QUOTES I HAD RECEIVED FROM COMPETITORS. I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY IT DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS. I HAD ALREADY PAID $200 AS A DEPOSIT DAYS EARLIER, SO I SHOULD HAVE ONLY HAD TO PAY $600 MORE THAT DAY, BUT I WAS TOLD THEY NEEDED $700 TO BEGIN THE MOVE, WHICH WAS AGAINST THEIR STATED TERMS IN THEIR CONTRACT. AGAIN, DUE TO THE TIME CONSTRAINT, I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY IT OR THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT MOVE MY ITEMS.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE A PARTIAL REFUND FOR MY TROUBLE AND THE VIOLATION OF THEIR TERMS. ALSO THEY VIOLATED VERBAL AGREEMENTS MADE ON JULY *, 2013 BY THEIR REPRESENTATIVE, [redacted]. THEY ALSO DID NOT HONOR THEIR CONTRACT TO PICK UP ALL ITEMS ON 7.*.13, AND VIOLATED THE VERBAL AGREEMENT TO PICK UP THE REMAINING ITEM ON JULY [redacted]. THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED PHONECALLS EITHER, LEAVING ME WITH HAVING TO PAY MORE TO ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY IF I CAN EVEN FIND ONE AT THIS LATE DATE, TO MOVE THE MOTORCYCLE TO FLORIDA BY JULY [redacted]. THEY USED A BAIT AND SWITCH, RAISED THE PRICE AT THE LAST MINUTE, REQUIRED CASH WHEN I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PAY WITH A CHECK, AND NOW ARE IGNORING ME.

Business

Response:

We agree that we were not equipped to carry the motorcycle however this was mainly due to the fact that the number as well as volume of the items that the customer had were more than we could have accomodated at that time had the mortocycle gone on the truck at that time. The dispatcher, did infact promise to go back the following day to pick up the bike and as of yet I am not aware of the reason why this was not done. The company was temporarily closed and sadly we have no records at this time. The customer's other items have since been delivered.

You had sent an email stating that the person with whom you spoke from Top Priority said my items had been delivered. I told you that wa a lie and to ask them to provide a signature of mine when delivery was made and also to prove the address of delivery. I am still out all if my goods and have never received any of them from Top Priority or any communication from them.
