Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The driveway is not "fine" as stated by Top Quality Concrete It is cracked in several places and, in one area, it is cracked all the way across and I'm not talking abouty a hairline crasck in all cases The parking pad crack is pretty big I submitted photos of this.It is true that my father was present during some of the work He did ask the guys to pull the wire mesh up into the concrete instead of leaving it lay on top of the aggregate If they didn't do this the wire mesh wouldn't have done anything structurally from what I'm told I'm not sure this had any bearing on the cracks or not I'm not the concrete expert.I'd also ask to see the proof that there were cars parked on the driveway I have a daily photo showing there were no cars on it for 11-days which is 4-days longer than was recommended by Top Quality Concrete Heck, for or days there was no apron on the driveway (the last part before the road) so I couldn't make it onto the driveway if I wanted to.As far as the color goes my neighbor had a driveway put in about weeks after me They used the same concrete company, heck, the same exact guy came to deliver their concrete (while talking to the neighbor's crew about the work they were doing the cement truck driver commented that my father was a "very nice man" so that's how I know it was the same guy) Their driveway is uniform color and without any cracks Compare that to my driveway which is gray, black in spots, has an alligator skin color, and of course has cracks in several places.Look, I don't want to play games with these guys I really just want the cracks in the concrete fixed or I want my money back in order to have someone else fix it It's Pittsburgh where the winters will destroy concrete A couple freeze-thaw-freeze cycles will expand the cracks and then the chipping starts I will work with Top Quality Concrete to get this corrected but there is no way, no way at all, that I should be expected to pay for a driveway that is only months old and cracked like this Also, it's getting worse There is now a crack in the sidewalk (photo submitted to Revdex.com last week) Also, the personal slander of me from Top Quality Concrete is especially concerning This is not a personal bash It's strictly a matter of me having a contract that guarantees the driveway and the driveway is now cracked and discolored Regards, [redacted] ***

Once again this is another statement from [redacted] exactly why he closed complaint I have done nothing but help this guy out and he wants to put me down Good luck [redacted]

[redacted] has hairline cracks on his driveway, I have been over and looked at his job I have spoke to his neighbors and he drove on his driveway a few days after it was poured This guy has been nothing but a complaining little guy since his job started He had to have his dad outside the whole time we were there working to make sure it was done right, as it was His father complimented us on every thing we did I can guarantee Concrete cracks, I try my best to prevent it from cracking but eventually it will I have pictures of his driveway and also pictures of all the vechicles parked on there days after pour Mr [redacted] talked me down thousands of dollars to get job done and now that it's done he wants money back...must not have been able to afford it

First off this review is a complete lie, *** *** is by far the worst homeowner I have ever worked for, wants everything for free because I guess he couldn't afford to get work done!! His neighbors, his wife and even him came to me on last day of work and told me how amazed they were of
the job and how unbelievable it turned out!! *** put this review up because he wants a final paid in full invoice that's the only reason, I have numerous thing to prove this I had of my employees on job the final day and heard how thrilled he was about job I even hauled in topsoil and graded his yard afterwards when it wasn't even in contract and his wife came out and said she thought she was going to have to do it and couldn't believe I did it Ask thus homeowner to post pictures of entire job and see how this job turned out!!!

Being called a liar when all I have done is state the truth in my review of him is laughableI have every single communication from him in an email showing his lack of professionalismShould the Revdex.com ask me to provide those I'll be happy to, if the pictures do not prove my pointsHe lied about getting permits, he consistently refused to detail a plan to properly slope the driveway, he failed to tarp my grounds to protect it from rain, he did not explain to the wall builders what to do, he did not personally visit the site often during the four months to manage the workThe worst thing is that even when you show him pictures of the work his men did he still does not see faultHe just gets upset with me, the person who paid a lot of money for this job, and calls me a liarPictures do not lie."

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The business's response is a lieHomer blames the rain for not being able to complete the project, however the truth is that his business can't afford adequate equipment to complete projects that he bidsI had another contractor come out and do the job in days because they knew what they were doing and had the right equipmentHomer uses deposits from one job to finance others and then can't pay the deposits back when things go southThere were only laborers at the property that completed hours of work one dayThey came out one other day and didn't complete any work stating the dump truck did not show up to haul off the concretehours of work completed in a month time period doesn't seem to add up to $2,There was no material used on the project since the patio was never fully ripped outThe drainage worked prior to the crew poking numerous holes into the drain with a Bobcat which resulted in the drain rerouting and ruining the yardThe manner in which Homer's crew approached the job by using a jackhammer to rip out a 43xft patio and then leaving the material on the part of the patio that still needed to be ripped out shows that they had no intention of coming back to finish the projectA true businessman owns up to when they are wrong and can't do a jobUnfortunately this businessman is unreliable, untruthful, and a thiefI'm sure Homer believes that we are "even" since he made out with $2,and din't have to do anything to earn itI am going to take every action possible to ensure he doesn't get away with thisThis type of person should not have a license.

The response from Top Quality Concrete is pretty much all false. I don't know why he would say such things when I have pictures backing my statements (there are 5 cracks - two are really bad and actually another just showed up making it 6 all together now), my neighbors never talked to him as he stated, and I didn't talk him down in price - we just agreed on a price based on other verbal quotes I had. I really can't believe this is happening. I treated his guys well (put up a tent when it rained, bought them lunch) and I paid him on time. The driveway just didn't hold up like it should and it should be fixed properly or I think I should get my money back so I can get someone else to fix it. It's really that simple. I'll call on Monday but I wanted to get you an immediate response.

I only have a hard copy of the contract, so I'll scan that and email to you tomorrow.-Email attachement 3 shows Homer stating he would have Harvey (the wall builder) come back out and take care of the work we discussed on the last day (April 23rd). -Email attachement 1 shows my attempt to show him that it is mortar and not dirt. Saying it is dirt that needs to be cleaned up is his excuse not to come out and fix it. Aside from this, the veneer stone manufacturer specifically states not to use a pressure washer on this stone, so it just speaks further about his knowledge of the products he sells people. [redacted]x (FAQ #14)-Email attachment 2 shows his negligence in attaining a permit for the job, protecting the job site from weather, damaging a tree, and using my neighbors driveway. All of this was in my initial complaint. His workers damaged the tree, so there was little he could do about that, but with the permit issue, he claimed to already know the township permit rules in order to avoid filing for one (page 4).   As for a reply to his last comment you can copy paste this for my response:"As a testament to their quality of work and to the truthfulness of these past responses, a person should only need to look at the pictures to see what this entire thread is about. I have submitted emails to the Revdex.com detailing an agreement via email that these corrections would be made. If the work was done 100% as claimed by the contractor then he never would have agreed to fix any corrections. I think that he probably took our compliments on the concrete driveway as a reflection of the entire job. We did tell him on the last day that we were happy with the actual driveway. We also discussed what needed to be touched up and fixed. On that agreement, we paid in full. Yes, it is my wife's and I fault that we trust people too often when we shouldn't. Shame on us. As regards to bringing my wife into this discussion, that should reflect what a low caliber individual this contractor is. If I am tied up inside the house and my wife offers to run the check out to you, how on earth is that a negative reflection on anyone? This translates to someone being offended simply because a woman handed him a check instead of a man. At no point as well did she say she was 100% pleased with the job, which is the sole reason we discussed touch up areas with you that would be fixed within that first week. Do not use my wife as a means to prop up your delusional argument. Calling me a liar, saying I give you a hard time, and being generally dis-respective is one thing, but I will not tolerate someone using my wife in an online disagreement. She would like to pass on that if she is used in that manner again she'll file her own complaint to the Revdex.com so she can publicly express her own opinion without someone putting words in her mouth. This is my last response to this thread. It has dragged out far too long with no end in sight. [redacted] driveway is perfectly fine, the homeowner knows absolutely nothing about concrete and has bashed me on every single website possible!!  Actually have spoken to my attorney about his comments and false statements.  Concrete cracks, that's what it does, we try our best to make sure it doesn't but it does...the 2 cracks I saw are hairline cracks, spider cracks..nothing structual...this guy is unbelievable and he knows I'm right!  His father stood there the whole time and watched the job get done...spots on driveway aren't from mixing load in truck..its from calcium that was put in concrete...he is blind to the work that was done and knows it was done right.  Warranty was for sealer to be applied every 3 years and I have pictures to prove how many vechicles he has parked on his driveway so it's obviously impossible to seal.  Doesn't matter if Concrete us poured 12in thick it cracks...maybe he should have had gravel put down
