Hi ***, Per previous conversations and requests please feel free to contact us directly anytime as we would like to help you resolve your situation. As noted in all of our USBcable product pages there is currently a power issue with computer manufacturers under powering their USB ports, which affect all USBcameras In addition, Apple is currently on USBver protocol and Nikon is on USB ver This causes communication errors because there is way communications during the tethering process This is the issue currently at hand which we have no control. All of our cables are manufactured to the the highest USB specifications per USB.org but until Apple upgrades their firmware and hardware makers build computer USB ports with more power, to meet photographers tethering needs, few options exist.Tether Tools developed a product called the TetherBoost Core Controller and TetherBoost Pro to solve this issue and regulate power for photographers looking to tether their camera longer distance I understand if you do not want to purchase this additional piece of hardware but simply a replacement cable will not solve the issue The only way to tether a D800e without TetherBoost is by using a short cable (like the one included with your camera) in the 1m range We are happy to exchange your existing cable for you to a shorter version if that is the course of action you would like to take; please let us know. Thanks again and please feel free to contact us direct anytime - Jack

There was No profane or abusive language in my postsThey were simply critical of the quality of the Tethertools productTethertools deleted them (and blocked me from posting on their page) to hide from page viewers the true quality of their product and for no other reason.Their response is simply trying to market to me additional high-priced Tethertools products, rather than address the poor quality of the product I purchased. I find their response in whole, troublesome and disingenuous. John K***
