I reviewed *** complaint and will provide a responseNo dispute on the timeline of eventsThe last phrase of his statement ''no work has been started as of the writing of this 3/3/14'' needs clarification.When we first discussed the work, I had asked for a date that the work needed to be completed byI had also stated that we were unavailable for about three weeksI was not given any definite date. *** initially wanted to have the Pub shut down for a week for work to be completed-not just our partWe (*** and I) determined that to complete on time, we would have to start late afternoon on a Sunday to be finished by morningThis would have meant working through the night if necessaryOn 2/*** sent me an email with a suggested timeline for my considerationI read it but did not respond as I had no answer at that timeHindsight, I should have let him know that I was mulling it over. When *** called on 2/28, I still had no certain start dateStarting a job on a Sunday afternoon requires absence from family activitiesI had not yet determined which upcoming Sunday would be openAt some point in conversing with ***, I recall that a start would be acceptableMy son, who works with me has a regular night activityI inquired of him what date he could be free to do *** job with meThe best date was 3/until I realized that would cut into *** business that dayOn 3/4, I called *** and left a message about starting on 3/His response was a text to return his depositAs I was out of town, I told him I'd send it when I got backI forgot to last weekend, however I mailed it to him today, 3/15.From my perspective, my discussions with *** were aimed at finding the least interruption to his businessSeveral times he expressed to me the difficult times for taverns in WisconsinThat is why I gave a start date of 3/3/would have meant him losing St Patricks business. Should I have responded more quickly to *** requests? YesWas it an out of the ordinary job to schedule? YesDid I forget to call back? At times, yesDid I intend to fulfill the contract?
