May 12, 2014I'm writing in response to the above complaint received by the Revdex.com on 5/6/2014.My customer came into our Dealership and test drove a truck on January 31, He fell in love with the truck and decided to buy itHe stated no matter what happened, he was buying the truck
and asked what it would take the hold the truck for himI told him Id need a deposit and generally we take $to hold a vehicleHe did not have $but offered $which I accepted. The customer stated he was going to use his own bank for financingI have no opinion on what bank customers use for financing but offered my third party for financing if he needed their helpHe applied for a loan with the third party I use. The customer stated before purchasing he wanted a few changes made to the truckHe asked I replace the windshield, change of the used tires to new tires, provide a fresh PA state Inspection, fix a drivers side window and adjust the clutch,
I agreed as he had left a deposit and he stated no matter how or what happened with finance he was purchasing the truckHe asked I lock the doors on the truck so he would not lose the truckHe was denied financing by my third party but said he thought he could get funded through his bankHe was also denied by themThe customer called and asked for a refund of his depositI stated I could not refund his deposit as he had requested make specific changes to the truck for him, changes that would not normally need to be changed but I had agreed because he stated he would be purchasing regardless of the financing decisionFebruary 10, the customer wrote me what he called a "letter of intent” and stated if I do not refund his deposit he would start legal actionI called the customer and explained my hands were tied, and said had they not asked I make specific changes to the truck for them I'd feel differentlyI spent over $making the changes they requested, ietires, windshield, etc.Top Trucks Strives to excellent customer satisfactionWhen a customer applies for credit and is denied I do not have a problem refunding a depositHowever, if a customer states they do not need finance and want to buy regardless and then ask make specific changes to a truck to make the truck better for them specifically I cannot refund a deposit after a customer walks away from purchasing.SincerelyBrian W***

Review: I gave this company a deposit and they would not return it to me when the company they sent me to get financed through did not approve my loan. they keep telling me they have to talk to the owner and now say there is a new owner, giving me run around.Desired Settlement: return my $500 deposit

May 12, 2014I'm writing in response to the above complaint received by the Revdex.com on 5/6/2014.My customer came into our Dealership and test drove a truck on January 31, 2014. He fell in love with the truck and decided to buy it. He stated no matter what happened, he was buying the truck and asked what it would take the hold the truck for him. I told him Id need a deposit and generally we take $1000.00 to hold a vehicle. He did not have $1000.00 but offered $500.00 which I accepted. The customer stated he was going to use his own bank for financing. I have no opinion on what bank customers use for financing but offered my third party for financing if he needed their help. He applied for a loan with the third party I use. The customer stated before purchasing he wanted a few changes made to the truck. He asked I replace the windshield, change 4 of the used tires to 4 new tires, provide a fresh PA state Inspection, fix a drivers side window and adjust the clutch,I agreed as he had left a deposit and he stated no matter how or what happened with finance he was purchasing the truck. He asked I lock the doors on the truck so he would not lose the truck. He was denied financing by my third party but said he thought he could get funded through his bank. He was also denied by them. The customer called and asked for a refund of his deposit. I stated I could not refund his deposit as he had requested 1 make specific changes to the truck for him, changes that would not normally need to be changed but I had agreed because he stated he would be purchasing regardless of the financing decision.February 10, 2014 the customer wrote me what he called a "letter of intent” and stated if I do not refund his deposit he would start legal action. I called the customer and explained my hands were tied, and said had they not asked I make specific changes to the truck for them I'd feel differently. I spent over $1300 making the changes they requested, ie. tires, windshield, etc.Top Trucks Strives to excellent customer satisfaction. When a customer applies for credit and is denied I do not have a problem refunding a deposit. However, if a customer states they do not need finance and want to buy regardless and then ask make specific changes to a truck to make the truck better for them specifically I cannot refund a deposit after a customer walks away from purchasing.SincerelyBrian W[redacted]
