Our normal service charge to come out to do a service repair is $125.00 and I only charge her $50 due to the fact that I had done a smaller job for her a few years in the past. The second option would be to replace the roof vent and shingles around the roof vent. The price for labor & materials would be $250.00.As far as the opinion of the other contractor, I totally do not agree with what he had to say. I have been in business for 36 years and many times doing the more economical method has worked very well. The homeowner is the one who chose to do the $50 repair.At the time the homeowner had called me back with problems about the leak, I had been out of town on a family vacation.
