on 09/24/2015, 10/27/2015, 11/19/2015, and 12/10/We were given insurance information to submit claims to on behalf of the patient and spouseEach of these services were submitted to insurance for payment on the date services were preformedOur office did not receive payment from the insurance company until 12/21/Patients are financially responsible for all charges whether or not paid by insurance as stated on our registration form, which both the patient and spouse signed acknowledging prior to treatmentOur office is not responsible for insurance restrictions per the patient's insurance plan. After insurance payments were made, a statement of the difference was sent to the patient for paymentOur office received a phone call from the patient expressing his discontent with the statement and accusing our office of trying to decieve himOur office tried to inform the patient to contact his insurance company about the delay in payment, and that our office is not responsible for the timing and amounts insurance pays the providerAs a courtesy to the patient, our office granted a discount to the patient and spouse's account totalling $The patient has a balance remaining 300.03. Although adjusting off the remaining balance does not seem equitable, the adjustment will be madeIn the future the patient needs to recognize his insurance limitations and schedule appointments accordingly.
