Torment at Twelve Hundred is a professional and reputable haunted attraction that has been in business for yearsWe are an entertainment business that is listed as a top Haunt Attraction by USA TodayThis season we were only open for
nightsWe have been in the haunt industry for 30+ years and have never experienced this type of complaintLet alone be turned into the Revdex.com for anything
After we closed in the AM of October we received a private message in our Facebook account from the woman who is filing this complain that stated what she wrote in the complaintI responded immediately with:

Hello ***, I am an owner of Torment and I want to apologize for your bad experienceFirst of all I have no idea who would have told you it takes an hour and a half to go through TormentIt is 30-mins depending on how fast you walkWe also had a full crew of 35+actorsIf one of our actors split you up, I am sure it was done only to scare you as most people after they go through the door just wait for their group and go with themWe cannot prevent customers from running through the haunt and catching up with other groupsOur actors are trained to keep the groups small and divided so everyone gets the full scareWe try our best but with so many people hurrying to get through late a night it made for a unpleasant experience for your groupSo I would like to offer your group of free passes to come back through Torment and a slower night so you can enjoy the hauntAgain we apologize*** ***

There are several correspondences after this, all through Facebook, including where she accepted the free passes and then later changed her mindAlso, I continued to try to respond but got a message that stated: This person isn't receiving messages from you right now
Every time I tried to respond I got the same messageI received harassing messages 3-times a day for a week and these messages were posted all over other people's reviews and she told everyone to share it all over FacebookI will forward all the messages so not to take up space here
Again we are a professional entertainment business, which follows high safety rules for our visitors, our actors, and our staffLarge groups are divided into smaller groups, ranging from 6-peopleThis ensures that everyone has an enjoyable experienceA group under is never divided, let alone scattered into other groupsAll of our actors are trained on how to divide groups and the first question asked is how many in your group
This is a walk through haunted attraction and it is the nature of this business that a group of visitors may come upon another group as some people walk slowly, while others walk very fast or even run (even after being told not to)We cannot control how fast people walkThroughout our entire season we were fully staffed with 35-actorsOur actors entertain; they do not rush visitors through the hauntWhen asked, our visitors are told it takes approximately 30-minutes to go through the haunt depending on how fast you walk
I am the one at the ticket booth who sells all the tickets and answers the phone when people call to ask questions
Everything in the complaint is very contradictingWhen entering the haunt everyone is in a narrow hallway and long lineThis area is known as the tunnelsIf their group was split up and then they ran into the group in front or behind them, they would have run into their friendsThis is most likely what happenedI would also like to add, if any of this really happened, why did they not notify or complain to any one of our actors, staff, or securities, who are throughout the hauntWe have a concession area at the end of the haunt, where the workers ask all the visitors what they liked or did not like about the hauntThat also would have been good time to speak upBut absolutely nothing was said to anyone
She was offered free passes, wanted them and then declined themAt that point we were harassed and lies were posted all over FacebookThere will be no refundEach year we work harder to refine and better our showReaching the level of being one of the top haunts in Illinois by USA Today would prove thatThis season we feel our show moved up another levelWe received many negative reviews, along with the fact that we have to answer this complaint with the Revdex.com, proves to us that someone or something is making an attempt to damage our reputation so customers will no longer come hereOur fan base will not let this happen
