Review: Toro Merchant Services is my credit card processing company. The saleslady put me on the wrong platform (they're word) and settling credit card transactions was a nightmare. (I'd be happy to share a copy of the statement with you.) I called the saleslady and she said something to the effect of 'Oh my! We can fix that. We'll put you on a different platform." I received a new contract to sign and called and so 'no charges?' She assured me there wouldn't be and I accepted that verbal assurance. $375 charge!

There was a second issue this time with PCI compliance and I was again moved to a different platform. This time the charge for a broken contract was $525. I've tried since the summer/early fall of 2012 to get some/all of those fees refunded. I get nothing but the run-around. I have to have a credit card processor and felt like I needed to stay with Toro until such time as this was resolved.

I fee that I could have checked several more boxes on your form: Sales Issues: Sales presentation had a verbal representation not consistent with written agreement, Sales person didn't disclose complete pricing information, Service Issues: unreasonable or excessive delay in completing services. Maybe Billing Issues because there seems no way to get the debit to my business checking account reversed.Desired Settlement: I've called. I've e-mailed. I've faxed things and IF I catch a human being they 'will have to check on this' and ask me to call them back. Then the entire cycle repeats itself. No one answers the phone, I leave a message. No one returns my call. I have asked them to call me back and needless to say that doesn't happen. A member of management at Toro named [redacted] and one of his underwriters has told me it's the bank that they no longer deal with that took (and kept) the cancellation fee so they want the money back from the bank. I'll have to wait while they deal with the bank. I don't know if I believe that. On June [redacted], 2013 I was told by [redacted], a member of Toro Management, that they would release $350 of the first cancellation fee and continue to work on the refund of the second cancellation fee. I've never seen that money. I'd like my $900 or the bulk of it back and I'd really like to be released from the remainder of my contract with them for all the above reasons.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Toro Merchant Solutions, LLC. regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Sincerely,

[redacted] ([redacted]) [redacted]

I have tried to call again about refunds - no return calls. I called to see if they would review (and lower) my processing rates and waited nearly three week for a return call - none came. I called again and they lowered my rate by 5 basis points.
