Toronto Vanlines Reviews (12)

We had Brad and Mohamed move me on Friday and I can't say enough about how amazing they were. Everything was shrink wrapped properly. They had their masks on and stayed at the proper distance. Brad (did all the shrink wrapping) was very pleasant and Mohammad was just as great. There were also no hidden costs. They also delivered items to my Son's home and he was very pleased at how great they were. Will use you again for sure.

After reading the reviews for this company, I was a little worriedBut I had paid a $deposit and was committed After the move I felt definitely sorry I did not read the reviews before paying the deposit! Everything went wrong: movers arrived late, they damaged my neighbour's property while maneuvering their truck, they had not brought blankets or anything other movers use to protect their customers' belongings, they were constantly taking lengthy breaks, they were not careful and a lot of items were damaged or even broken, allegedly it took hours to finish a job that was supposed to be done by noon But here is the icing on the cake: before the movers finished unloading their truckI was asked to pay them in full otherwise they would keep my property! [redacted] Especially when the final price is more than twice the initial quote Stay away from these people, far far away

They cheat on hours! Very poor after sale customer service.

Toronto Vanlines Response • Nov 12, 2019

this client has signed for START TIME and FINISHED TIME. so they approved the time job was started and the time job was finished. also on their estimate sheet that this job was estimated to be finished in 13 hours, but our movers FINISHED THE JOB IN 7 HOURS. ALMOST HALF THE TIME THAT WAS ESTIMATED. SO TORONTO VANLINES DID NOT GO OVERTIME. so we don't understand what does cheat on hours mean when the client confirmed the start and finish time by signing the paperwork and we finished the job in half the time that was estimated. this is 100% not true as they paid at the end of 7 hours move and appreciated our fast movers.***. thank you.

To whom wrote the message above:

I am not complaining that your team go over the estimate.

My concern is they showed up 15 minutes late and took 45 minutes lunch. In addition to that they had two 20 minutes breaks one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. I signed the invoice under the impression that he took the 1 hour (late+lunch) off the total. Please review with your driver for the time and update me at your convenience.

...I contacted Toronto Vanlines the end of May to inquire about our moving on July 26th. Frank came on June 4th to take a look at our contents and provide me with the estimate (***). I did ask Frank by that time if I move some items by myself how they will charge. He ensured me that his estimate is pretty accurate and I will only be charged by the hours incurred by the moving staff.

On July the 11th, I called Frank to book our moving date. I asked again about the charge if I move some items by myself in advance. The answer is still the same.

Since our lawyer told us that we had to move out around 3:00 PM on July 26th; we had to do some small moves by our selves. otherwise, there will be no way we can empty the house on time.

On July 26th, Moving staff showed up at 8:15, which is 15 minutes late. They really took their time; but I didn't mind at all. This is hard labour work I want them to pace themselves comfortably. They took on break around 10:30 for 20 minutes which I provided drinks and snacks. They finished loading around 12:20 then the driver asked me if They can go for lunch. I said it's OK as long as you deduct the time. Three people went together for lunch and leaving one guy behind. he sat at my porch for about 40 minutes waiting for his team to come back. I provide his water and some snacks. They came back at 1:00 to unload the truck. At 2:50 they took another break for about 20 minutes. I provided water and watermelon. They finished everything by 3:25. Mehdi, the driver wrote me the invoice (***). I said clearly I am not paying for the late and lunch time. When I read his invoice, I mistakenly thought that 7.5 including the 1 hour travel but excluding 15 minutes late plus 40 minutes lunch break; therefore I didn't bother to argue about start time and finish time.

They made a dent on the wall at my old house so we went back there together to take a look. He said he will get someone to fix it. The new owner said it's OK; there is no need to fix. Mehdi also pick up some items that I gave to him for his child and then they left.

I only discovered I was over charged when I reviewed my invoices next day. I called Frank right away to explain ti him the situation. He said he will check with the driver and get back to me. He called me back when I followed up with him. The driver admitted that they took the lunch but Frank kept saying that they are loosing money because I moved some items myself. They can't over charge me just because they didn't reach the hours as estimated. This not professional at all. He said he can do nothing because the team already got paid.

I phoned the office a few week ago and asked to speak to the office manager. They took my message but I never got a call back.

I called again early this week and spoke to this lady, she said she is the office manager. She also said I shouldn't have moved anything myself. But no one followed up with me if I plan to move anything myself at all. She kept saying the same thing as Frank did - the company is loosing money because I made some moves myself. She wouldn't let me talk the whole time. They I never got even an apology from anyone.

I would like my overcharge, 1 hour time plus HST ($149.00x1.13=168.37), to be credited back to my credit card....

Found this company *** and received a great in person quote. The estimator explained everything clearly beforehand and there were no hidden costs. Superb packers and movers. The guys were extremely courteous and friendly and took great care of my goods and got along really well . Over all move was very smooth. Would definitely use them again.

Amazing Move. Paula's quote was accurate. The crew arrived on time and were extremely efficient, polite and professional.
They helped me move my furniture arround and put up a few large mirrors and paintings for me. Yousiff, Tyron, Steven and Paula THANK YOU.

Going through hard time in my life, this move was very emotional for me and the gentlemen who did the estimate could not have been kinder, or more respectful. The movers did a perfectly AWESOME JOB!! Shoes were taken off, everything was wrapped with care and delivered to their new destination without a scratch in no time at all. During the packing of the items they were very attentive, pleasant and professional. the only hiccup I had was that the mattress covers were not included. Thank you so much for taking care of this worrisome job for me. ***. They completely remove the stress of moving!!

thank you very much Aida. it was a pleasure working with you.

The estimator calculated 3 men , 10 hours and the size of the truck. The truck did not have enough space if I had to take the patio furniture which I had shown to the guy. Some boxes were wet (leaky truck), the supervisor left without notifying me at 5:00 PM ( 10 hours dwere at 7:30 PM) leaving two guys to finish. Some items broke and nobody responded to my emails and calls. When I call the person is never there and I can never talk to the same person twice. I sent photos, and they ask ridiculous questions, including receipt for items I bought months ago. Now they say they want to help me with the claim. When I hired They simply said I was covered up to 25K and they would replace or fix broken items. Now I cannot get a straight answer. They seem to count on the fact that I will get tired of calling.***. It is better to pay more and get good service

Desired Outcome

I want the company to pay for the mirror cabinet they broke and I sent a photo with the price tag, to replace the *** Besta cabinet broken, and replace the thick tempered glass shelves of the curio cabinet. They also damaged the frame of an 1800 $ coffee table

Toronto Vanlines Response • Dec 10, 2018

-On the day of this customers move one of the men was called away on a family emergency and left the job site at 6pm NOT 5pm.
-Customer did not purchase the 25K premium/cargo insurance. Thus was not covered.
-based on what the customer told the estimator was to be moved and what he saw, a 26 foot truck was provide and was big enough. (if customer added more pieces to be moved at the last minute it would not be Toronto Vanlines responsibility).

regards,

toronto Vanlines team

Customer Response • Dec 10, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was told by the company that I was covered for 25k and nobody told me it was extra. Even when I called about broken items they did not say I was not covered but they were just finding excuses that the people I talked to were not available etc. I did nit add more items. I showed the estimator everything including the patio furniture. The supervisor left without informing me. Boxes were wet. There is no excuse for not covering broken items, for the poor estimation of space and the poor quality of the leaky truck that caused boxes to be wet. Also wardrobe boxes were not enough although I asked for 8.

Toronto Vanlines Response • Dec 12, 2018

This customer did not purchase Insurance. She did sign our: RELEASED RATE LIABILITY on her invoice form before the move started. (***)
On November 24, 2018 the day of customers move, it did rain. If boxes got wet is was due to weather not because of the truck.
We offer 5 wardrobe boxes per truck per move. (***)
Supervisor left the job site due to a family emergency. He left in a hurry. He did not advise customer because it was urgent he leave immediately.

Customer Response • Dec 13, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
A) I spoke with someone specifically about coverage before I moved and I was told I was covered up to 25k and after I moved nobody said I did not have insurance
B) the supervisor left between 5 and 5:49 as I was informed by the security person at 5:30 that one of the guys had left
3 ) the boxes were wet from the bottom and the movers said the truck leaked and was wet inside
4) after I moved they kept saying the person responsible was away , then she assured she would get back to me that day after 4 then the next day they say I'd she was away for surgery. Other staff kept asking questions about damages without mentioning I was not covered. *** avoid giving a straight answer.
5) estimate was done wrong. I showed all the items in my patio and did not add anything. I could not bring the patio furniture because the patio in my new place was not finished but if it had there would not be room
6) I spoke with *** about wardrobe boxes and said I had lots of clothes and she said they would send extras. They only had 3 and they set up Teo more that were falling apart. I had to put clothes in suitcases and regular boxes
***. Movers aid I would be compensated for the broken items. Company gives misleading information and evades responsibility.

We were downsizing and had to move my family from a 5800sq. ft. home to three separate 2 bedroom condos. I called Toronto Vanlines and requested onsite estimates because I needed to go over the contents since it would involve 3 different moves on different days. Their estimator *** came on June 25th to give the quote, and told me that he is quite accurate with his estimation and promised in case the time spent is less than what he quoted, we would only pay for the actual time, but if it went over, we will not be charged. Since my husband & I have more stuff than my sons and mother, I was afraid a same day move might be tight so I asked for 2 day move and pay extra costs involved for uploading first day, and unloading the next day. He mentioned that we have expensive furnitures and wanted to to send his VIP crew to look after our 3 moves. Our quotation was based on 5 men, 2 trucks and estimated time of 13 hours in total. When I had a chance to read the fine print on the estimate form, I noticed a clause that read ' These are estimated hours concerning your move. If the actual move hours are less or more, you will be charged accordingly'. I called *** to discuss and he assured me that the form was 'general' and if he made a promise, then he'll honour it because I'm giving him 3 pieces of business.
When we were asked to confirm the moving dates and pay deposits near the end of July, we asked again if they can confirm that they will not charge more than the estimated hours, they backed out and said they will offer a guarantee of no more than 10% over the estimated hours! I wasn't too happy but figured at least there's a ceiling and fortunately had asked for this in writing. On moving day August 29th, they ended up spending 13 hours just loading and the 2 trucks they sent wasn't big enough and advised that after they unload the next day they would have to come back for the rest of the contents. We were told that charges needed to be paid at the end of the day and not wait till end of the entire move, so I paid them the 13hrs. At this point of course we realized they were way off! There are restrictions to condo moving because of the elevators therefore on the safe side, I had reserved the elevator on the second day in case the movers didn't finish which I also had informed the company. Again they didn't finish unloading so I reminded them that I have the elevators the next day as well, but was told they were fully booked the next 2 days. My husband took the movers back to the house to load the rest of the items left in the garage and when they finished, they gave my husband the bill for 9.5 hours total $2579 (including credit of $400 deposit paid) My husband paid not knowing about the 10% guarantee. When I found out how much he paid, I called the office and explained to a managing staff about the situation, she actually remembered sending me the email regarding the guarantee and said she would investigate the situation and get back to me. Between the moving company and elevator availability due to the long weekend, our items were held in the truck for 4 days before they finally deliver. I didn't hear back from the company for 2 weeks so I called *** to dispute. He said he'd never handled a house that size and it was an honest mistake that he underestimated and he had already lost money on the 4 days that our items were stored in his truck which he didn't charge us including the 3 hours of labour on the final delivery, he claimed he'd already paid for his mistakes! I feel sorry that he lost money in our move but I asked why should his mistake (honest or not) penalize us as consumer? His rates were $199/hr for 5 men and since we've paid $400 deposit, that should cover the 10% over estimated 13 hours. I would like Toronto Vanlines to refund $2579.25 to us which should not have been paid in the first place since they have offer us a guarantee. The company should absorb their own mistakes if staff was not well trained.

Desired Outcome

The company offered us a guarantee which I have in writing. They should honour it and refund us the overpayment of $2579.25. Owner *** already admitted it was his mistake, so I ask that the company handle this case in a civilized manner and be fair to their customers. We ask that Toronto Vanlines refund our overpayment of $2579.25 in a timely manner or within 3 weeks, otherwise we would be obliged to take legal actions.

Toronto Vanlines Response • Oct 15, 2018

did have 3 separate moves, one for her son, one for her mother and one for herself all originating from her home at: *** Rd, North York, ON *** Canada.
Will doing the estimate it was a bit confusing because it was not clear which pieces of furniture were going with what person's Move.
After the 1st move on August 3, 2018, the estimator acknowledged he made a mistake by not taking into account the size of the home (Approximately 6000 Square Feet) and how long the walk from within the house to the truck would take.
The estimator and Mrs. did speak over the telephone after her the 1st move and he explained the situation and BOTH AGREED that her move WOULD PROCEED WITHOUT the 10% guarantee.
Mrs. had a lot Art pieces and frames that were to be wrapped and protected the day before and it was actually done on the day of the move which added 5 to 6 hours to move.
As verbally agreed by Mrs. she was only charged the amount of hours worked, overnight fees, travel time and fuel.
Toronto Vanlines did not charge Mrs. delivery charges for the crates and accommodated everything that was needs.
Toronto Vanlines Moving Provided Mrs. VIP service by crating art pieces, accommodating move date changes and keeping belongings in the truck overnight.
Toronto Vanlines went beyond what was expected to GUARANTEE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

Customer Response • Oct 20, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes we had 3 separate moves, that's why I asked estimator to come onsite so I can go over the items for the different moves. The estimator took notes and was on the premise for 11/2 hrs to work out the quotes. He was not there once but twice, the second time he brought 2 of his movers to get exact measurements for size of crates for 2 statues. I went over again the items for the move and estimator said the 2 men was his VIP team for my move. It is pretty ridiculous for the estimator who claimed that he's been in business over 20 years and always very accurate with his estimates and to now say that he did not take into account how long the walk from the house to the truck when the truck was parked right in front of the house on our driveway on moving day!
There was never a conversation that my move was to proceed without the 10% guarantee! If there was and that I have agreed, then I wouldn't be filing this complaint.
I was charged $935 for 2 wooden crates; though expensive, I was willing to pay to protect the art pieces. But when it was delivered on moving day, one of the crate was double the size that was necessary and nobody wants to be responsible for giving the wrong size...the movers took another hour or two just to try to stuff the crate as they did not have the proper stuffing materials.
I had agreed to pay overnight storage, fuel and travel fees in addition to the moving charges just to ensure we would have sufficient time for unloading at the condo due to restricted elevator hours.
The original estimated hours for the entire move was 13 hours, but on the day of move, they've spent all 13 hours just loading and still did not finish by the end of the day and had to leave things behind stored in the garage.
The estimator had already admitted that he had made a mistake with his estimate, but should customer be penalized for the company's mistake?
Should the company not take responsibility and deliver what they promised and be bound to an agreement especially when it was in writing?

Mrs *** contacted Toronto Vanlines directly:

email:
To Whom It May Concern,

Re: Move from *** Rd to *** Pl , August 29 and August 30th

***

It is evident that Toronto Vanlines had breached the agreement when we have in writing from your company that guaranteed our move will not go over 10% of the estimated hours.

Since your estimator *** had admitted that he made a mistake with the estimate, I hereby offer to settle if your company would refund $1300 representing 50% of the overcharges of our move. If I do not hear from you within 5 days from the date of this email, I shall proceed to file the claim for the full amount of overcharges.

Reply:

Good afternoon Mrs.:

Toronto Vanlines Moving did exceptional work on your move.
Our staff worked very hard to accommodate you and your family.

The guarantee of hours on your sons and mothers move were honored even though we worked a few extra hours.
After both these moves, our senior supervisor informed the office that the estimated hours for your move would be more.
It was at this point that the estimator informed you that we could not guarantee the hours for your move.
Although we were not happy and insisting on the guaranteed hours WE WERE UNABLE TO GUARANTEE THEM.

Your move accumulated extra hour because of the art. Originally the art was to be wrapped a day or two before and since that did not happen the hours were added onto the move on moving day.

Toronto Vanlines will not settle your request because there were a number a things we did not charge you for: 1)The delivery of the 2 crates. 2)The removal of the crates. 3) 1- 24 foot truck, 3 men and offloading hours to offload leftover contents from the truck. 4) All overnight charges from August 30 to September 3, 2018.

ALL THIS AT NO EXTRA COST TO YOU.

Best regards,

Toronto Vanlines Team

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I cannot believe that the estimator of this company just make up the *** now. If there was an agreement that they could not guarantee the hours, then I wouldn't have the grounds to file this complaint in the first place. We paid $935 for 2 crates as request which should more than cover all costs not to mention it was probably overcharged especially one of them was much bigger than required. The extra off loading hours and overnight costs were caused by results of the incompetence of the estimator who had admitted mistakes initially and now trying to deny responsibilities and blame consumer. There's no further point in disputing and I do not wish to give this company especially the estimator *** more opportunity to make up *** and excuses

Move occurred on Thursday August 16th with Toronto VanLines, with the following issues:
1. Movers were clearly untrained: Furniture was moved not wrapped, mattresses and couch were dragged (not lifted) along bottom of the couch, banged into doorframes and walls repeatedly. This contradicts their website advertising, which clearly states that all employees are trained.
2. Service not delivered and Damage to furniture: Bed was not assembled properly, new mattress was ripped ($758, invoice available), bottom of couch ripped, tv not assembled properly, chest of drawers broken ($1040, invoice available), bedframe scratched.
3. *** employees, negligence - with the potential to lead to harm/injury: After the move was complete, I slid my child's bed an inch to move it into the centre of the room, and the mattress partially fell through! When I removed the mattress, I realized the base of the bed had not been screwed together - the movers left it unscrewed, and simply put the mattress on top anyway! Thankfully my kids did not get injured. And I could not find the screws. I called the manager *** (not sure of last name, phone #XXX-XXX-XXXX) and he sent another employee to put the bed together, and he mentioned that the original movers mentioned that the screws for the base of the bed were left in the chest of drawers (knowingly) - which is clearly proof that the original movers were aware that the bed was not screwed together, and they left the base unsecured willfully. The manager, ***, stated by text that they did not do anything wrong (because my kids were not hurt). This is my biggest issue, is this behaviour is acceptable to the management - obviously displaying a culture of *** behavior that could potentially lead to injury of others. Given that the manager does not condone this, there is a reasonable possibility that a similar situation occurs again. And by slight extension, if this situation occurs with, for example, a crib - there is a very reasonable possibility of serious injury. This is my main concern at this time.

Desired Outcome

Resolution: 1. Refund for move; the service that was purchased (ie. a professional move) was not delivered. Movers untrained. 2. Compensation for damaged items that are reasonably new and cannot be fixed (mattress $758, chest of drawers $1040) 3. Some type of reprimand/investigation? to make sure the situation with the bed (gross negligence?) does not re-occur, so that other children are not at risk for injury.

Toronto Vanlines Response • Sep 07, 2018

I am sorry customer was unhappy with her move, however:
1. All movers employed by Toronto Vanlines are trained and follow all rules and procedures.
We hold our employees to our high standard of excellence.

With each Move we make sure:
All furniture is wrapped and protected
We protect Floors with Floor Runners & Floor Sheets
We Dismantle and assemble furniture.

2. In talking to ***/estimator and the movers, the bed that the customer is referring to was assembled. When the customer moved the bed to the center of the room the screws could have come loose.
3. As a courtesy to our customer we sent someone over to the new home to re-assemble the bed and deal with her complaint with the TV.

Please note however, customer did not buy insurance/coverage for this move.

Customer herself texted that, the person sent was very experienced and professional;
Please Note: All employees have the same training.

Toronto Vanlines Team

Customer Response • Sep 09, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
With regards to ***'s statement about the bed being assembled, please note that I still have the original screws, left by the original movers, all taped together, inside my child's dresser. This statement is false.

But please note that the complaint about the bed is out of scope for Revdex.com, since Revdex.com does not handle customer safety issues. I have since received guidance that a situation of willful negligence such as this may require a police report for investigation (although not sure if I want to go this route)

Please request company to reply regarding the ripped mattress and broken dresser, which are the items where reimbursement has been requested (as opposed to the bed, which is now reassembled).

With regards to the statement about training, please note that the supervisor was previously employed and trained by *** - a professional moving company.
Please request that the company respond regarding the movers that were actually responsible for my move on 16 Aug 2018, as the supervisor was not present for my move. Please also request that the company limits it's responses to training provided by Toronto Vanlines, as opposed to training provided by a professional and well-respected moving company such as ***.

With regards to the "said" insurance, note that the movers did not follow the company's policies and procedures - ie. *** stated above that it is their standard procedure that "all furniture is wrapped and protected" - the damaged furniture is a result of negligence on the employees part, and therefore the company is still liable (ie. insurance companies will not pay for damage as a result of company employees not following the company's procedures).

When purchasing the move, I was also told that all furniture would be wrapped and protected, which did NOT occur.

The original complaint still remains unanswered (limited to #1 and #2 of original complaint), specifically with regards to:
1. The Company did NOT provide the service that was purchased ie. a professional move.
2. The items damaged by the movers (who were not following company policy) where reimbursement is requested - ie. the mattress and the dresser

These 2 issues have not been addressed at all.

Toronto Vanlines Response • Sep 17, 2018

Toronto Vanlines moved this customer.
After her move she complained that her son's bed was not assembled. She is accusing Toronto Vanlines Staff of KNOWINGL LEAVING THE BED ON THE BASE AND NOT SCREWED. THIS IS A FALSE STATEMENT SHE HAS MADE, Our men assembled this bed.
TORONTO VANLINES WOULD NEVER KNOWINGLY PUT A CHILD OR ADULT IN DANGER. NEVER.
We TAKE the assembly of furniture very seriously; especially the beds and we pride ourselves in our safety record.
We understand that the customer moved the bed to the center of the room.
When the customer moved the bed it is very possible the screws came loose, we see this in older beds.
As a courtesy to our customer we sent someone over to the new home to re-assemble the bed in question even though this customer did not buy insurance/coverage for this move.
Customer herself texted that, the person sent was very experienced and professional;
Please Note: All employees have the same training.
***

In regards to the dresser drawer and mattress that this customer is complaining we damaged, IT IS NOT TRUE. It is not our responsibility if the drawer snapped out and as for her Mattress was wrapped and protected. Furniture is never dragged as she is claiming.
This customer contacted Toronto VanLines and was trying to get us to take responsible and fix damages we are not responsible for. As a courtesy to our customer we sent someone out to re-assemble the bed & TV but nothing else.

Customer Response • Sep 27, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As mentioned previously, the company is making false statements. I have the following as proof:
- Original screws, still taped together in original tape used by Toronto Vanlines; this itself is proof that the bed was never assembled during the actual move
- Voice message from *** asking how the bed assembly went (1 week after the date of the move) and apologizing as this is not "the way we usually do business"
- the damaged furniture itself; invoices to show the furniture is new (mattress, dresser, couch)
- multiple witnesses who saw the furniture uncovered/not wrapped (the furniture was out in my lawn for hours, multiple neighbours are witness to this)and dragged into the truck
- a witness to all the garbage left out for hours in my neighbour's driveway
- multiple texts from *** claiming that the company was not negligent only because my kids did not get hurt
Please if the Revdex.com could advise if there are any additional steps, because this back-and-forth does not seem to be value-added.
And to the business/*** - all I am requesting is that you pay for the damage that you know occurred due to your movers not following policy. I need to buy my son a new dresser; you know that it is not fair that I have to pay for the dresser. Please could you reimburse for this, and we can put an end to all this?

Extremely professional in all aspects. The customer service team in the office and their estimator ,Frank, went above and beyond. We received 30 complimentary moving boxes the day after we booked the move! Also, Frank quote us for 15 hours and movers finished in 14 hours! Plus they managed to professionally wrap and bring up our oversized sofa from basement to second floor which was very challenging. I highly recommend this company.

Toronto Vanlines Response • May 24, 2018

it was a great pleasure to work with you Mark. thank you for for taking time to place a review for us.

Great experience overall. Quote was reasonable and explained well. The movers were on time and very efficient. They were prompt, professional and took great care of all out stuff. They dealt with elevator complications on both ends of the move with a great attitude. All the fragile items arrives safely. I would recommend Toronto Van Lines any time. Thank you!
Jean

Toronto Vanlines Response • May 17, 2018

thank you very much Jean. it was a pleasure to help you out with your move and so happy that we made it a great experience.

After reading the reviews for this company, I was a little worried. But I had paid a $200 deposit and was committed.
After the move I felt definitely sorry I did not read the reviews before paying the deposit!
Everything went wrong: movers arrived late, they damaged my neighbour's property while maneuvering their truck, they had not brought blankets or anything other movers use to protect their customers' belongings, they were constantly taking lengthy breaks, they were not careful and a lot of items were damaged or even broken, allegedly it took 12 hours to finish a job that was supposed to be done by noon...
But here is the icing on the cake: before the movers finished unloading their truck. I was asked to pay them in full otherwise they would keep my property!
[redacted] Especially when the final price is more than twice the initial quote.

Stay away from these people, far far away...
