To whom it may concern I performed all said duties above and beyond the lettering in this contract this is a 16×16 deck with hand rail and stairs finished and built with treated lumber screwed and not nailed lagged hand rail and hand cut stair...

with a concrete landing for the stairs to rest on post are setting on case ons which are 3 feet in the ground and not just on big blocks that set on the ground tax labor and all was 2746.00 later was called back to build a small plat form for their dog to enter and exit the house because Mr Newsum wanted the deck to be 6 inches below the door so we did this as free of charge we told him we would be charging to remove the old deck and he would not pay it so I said in the contract we would remove it for free but not responsible for damage or hauling it off as far as lumber I bid the job as a whole and any overages or shortages are soiling my responsibility per contract ps you always order extra material in the case some may not be straight and usable we hauled and delivered all material and shopped around lumber yards to control cost. Typically this job would have paid 4500.00 instead of 2746.00 and 2 months was even called back to do a second deck on the front of the home and 6 months the after the original deck is when I received the complaint after I had told him I would not build him a storage building for the cost he wanted to pay.I am a respectable contractor and do not appreciate slander in closed are the pictures of the work we did please compare and feel free to contact me if anything further his pictures are colored different due to him staining the deck since construction

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Jason did build a step for the dog at no charge. I'm not complaining at all about the back deck. The complaint I have is the verbal agreement on the concrete step, as well as the sub standard material used on the front porch. I waited to call him, thinking his word was good and he would come back and finish the concrete step. I understand him shopping around for the best prices, but I paid for quality lumber, and got second grade. I'm sure he got it at a lot lower price than I paid, but I wanted good stuff, and did not get it, or any of the savings he put in his pocket by buying second grade materials. If I had gone and bought the products myself, I could return the unused for a refund and bought quality stuff. Those are my two major complaints, his verbal agreement was not good, and I'm not happy with the quality of product used on the front porch. Thank you

The lumber in witch was used is called #2 so is all the lumber that is treated at all the lumber yards we bid the decks in there entirety not as itemized in witch case we would have done cost plus witch is cost of materials plus 30 percent to determine our price Mr [redacted] is not thinking we halled. All materials that alone would be at least a couple of extra charged in a I timi zed sitchawation. In witch this clearly is not.we bid the job as in a whole and completed a cording to the contract that is all thank you for your interest in this matter
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 22, 2015/09/11) */

I do not want anymore to do with Jason, do not want another word from him. I am 83 years old and do not want to fool with him anymore. Just let his conscience be his guide when he makes a verbal agreement when he does not intend to keep his word. One day, his children will know how he gets his money for Christmas gifts....by taking back a lot of material the customer paid for and by making money on his word, then backing down by saying ("it was a verbal agreement").
