When Innovative Floors gave us a price, we asked for installation as soon it could be scheduled We did not expect that shoddy workmanship, damage to our home, and uneven and unmatched, pieced together seams When given the quote, she stated that she typically visits the worksite on the day of the install The installers were packing to leave when my husband pointed out the two most obvious areas of damage: the refrigerator and the hole in the wall They denied the refrigerator damage but stated they would inform the owner and research ways to pull out the dents The owner never stopped by the site, never followed up on the work or damage, and did not send us an invoiceOur house was built in All of the trim on the 1st floor is less than years old, but no matter the age, the installers should not have damaged the trim The damage to the refrigerator is not hearsay; our realtor saw the refrigerator before the work, and the owner verbally apologized and stated she believed our claim We did not cover the refrigerator to hide the damage from the installer, we covered the damage for the showing of our house, which was delayed due to the need to replace damaged trim and walls secondary to the installation of the floor The owner did not come to the house for days after the install, and then only after our insistence We declined the owner's offer to fix the seams as it would create more seams and this was obviously not the installer's specialty The seams continued to come up as time progressed.Having clarified all of this, never did we say we would not pay a penny We have always been willing to pay a fair price for the flooring We were never approached to help substantiate the damage claims for the installer's liability insurance If there was insurance to help cover the cost of the damage we would, and still will, submit anything to help offset the costs To this date, we too have incurred additional costs due to Innovative Floors' unprofessional handling of this job They include new trim, stain, and install; paint; carpet cleaning to try to remove glue tracked up the stairs; our attorney's fees; and additional title company fees We repeatedly asked the owner to invoice us a fair price so that we could move forward; we never received an invoice until 09/02/and only then because she heard from our realtor that we had a closing date on our house We agree that it would be great for all parties to discuss and move on, and we appreciate Revdex.coms help in facilitating a resolution

[redacted] & [redacted] agreed to a Remax discounted price on 516 sf of vinyl, hot rush, so I agreed to trust them and schedule the job so they could get the home ready to sell.  I did not take any downpayment. [redacted]s were to pay upon completion, which they did not.  I hired a subcontractor,...

[redacted] R [redacted], dba [redacted]'s Flooring.  That day of install, [redacted] was there with them the last - 2 1/2 hours and said it was a great job when [redacted] left. Yes, [redacted] talked to [redacted] about a crow bar hole and [redacted] mentioned, no problem, easy fix.  I did receive an email and pictures of 20 year old wood base, 66 lf, but 1/2 the 1/4 round was missing when I measured and reflected in the lf as to removing it.I went to inspect [redacted]'s concerns with [redacted]'s Flooring and a third party, contractor from [redacted] Construction, Ohio, to be extra set of eyes, ears, and advise. We saw the preexisting condition of the home and [redacted] assessed damage to frig looked like from handle bars from toys. [redacted] already remedied the frig from stainless steel plate made at his work.  [redacted] had about 40lf total of seams and only about 2-3 lf could have been done better.  He is a flooring contractor over 20 years. [redacted] offered to fix the seams, about 15-20 minutes fix, but [redacted] said she did not want him to touch anything. We could not see any rust or paint transfers on the frig, since [redacted]s covered it up, to prove [redacted]'s theory. I offered to replace the frig door with the contractor's account for $135 for that specific model and I have a written quote to install new door for $50.  I offered on 8/13 credit of $200 for frig(which is hear say) $100  to go towards 66 lf of trim and if we coudnt fix vinyl seams, I thought $200 was more than fair, since a person has to get on their knees to see the "in question" 3' seam cuts.  I was advised to do a "30 day intent to [redacted]" when she said she then would not pay a penny.  I have paid [redacted]'s flooring and the materials which entitles me to try to retrieve my financial interests that are installed in that property.  "notice to preserve [redacted] rights" is not required pursuant to 779.02 (2)c and therefore does not detract from the validity of the (any)[redacted].  [redacted]s have sold the home knowing that the flooring improvements have been done and have not paid a cent for any of the material or labor.  Innovative Floors has also retained an attorney and the [redacted] company which has several invoices that are costing additional fees.  From the ori[redacted]l $1840 that has been agreed upon, I was willing to deduct $500 but now there are the additional bills to try to collect [redacted]'s debt.  [redacted] has general liability insurance but they are commenting it is hearsay.  That is an avenue that [redacted] has tried to resolve but [redacted] honestly says he didn't hurt the frig.  [redacted], the husband, was with the two installers for most of the time and walked the job before the guys left.  [redacted] also repaired two doorways that carpet wasn't installed correctly by some other, carpet was thru the door jambs vs vinyl.  Innovative Floors has a valid right to [redacted] a property that has its installed materials without any payment. Hand shake and trust is an agreement of good faith. We feel the offer of discount is more than fair since it is hearsay, condition of the existing home, and [redacted] offered to fix anything.  We have offered [redacted] & [redacted] to commumicate with their concerns or feed back any time.  The vinyl ended up looking really nice and probably contributed to selling their home. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When Innovative Floors gave us a price, we asked for installation as soon it could be scheduled.  We did not expect that shoddy workmanship, damage to our home, and uneven and unmatched, pieced together seams.  When given the quote, she stated that she typically visits the worksite on the day of the install.  The installers were packing to leave when my husband pointed out the two most obvious areas of damage:  the refrigerator and the hole in the wall.  They denied the refrigerator damage but stated they would inform the owner and research ways to pull out the dents.  The owner never stopped by the site, never followed up on the work or damage, and did not send us an invoice.
Our house was built in 2002.  All of the trim on the 1st floor is less than 10 years old, but no matter the age, the installers should not have damaged the trim.  The damage to the refrigerator is not hearsay; our realtor saw the refrigerator before the work, and the owner verbally apologized and stated she believed our claim.  We did not cover the refrigerator to hide the damage from the installer, we covered the damage for the showing of our house, which was delayed due to the need to replace damaged trim and walls secondary to the installation of the floor.  The owner did not come to the house for 45 days after the install, and then only after our insistence.  We declined the owner's offer to fix the seams as it would create more seams and this was obviously not the installer's specialty.  The seams continued to come up as time progressed.
Having clarified all of this, never did we say we would not pay a penny.  We have always been willing to pay a fair price for the flooring.  We were never approached to help substantiate the damage claims for the installer's liability insurance.  If there was insurance to help cover the cost of the damage we would, and still will, submit anything to help offset the costs.  To this date, we too have incurred additional costs due to Innovative Floors' unprofessional handling of this job.  They include new trim, stain, and install; paint; carpet cleaning to try to remove glue tracked up the stairs; our attorney's fees; and additional title company fees.  We repeatedly asked the owner to invoice us a fair price so that we could move forward; we never received an invoice until 09/02/15 and only then because she heard from our realtor that we had a closing date on our house.

[redacted]I would like to thank Revdex.com for their assistance.  Since the new owners have moved in to the house, they too have noticed the sub-par installation of the kitchen flooring.  This was an incredibly unfortunate situation.

To this date, I have paid out to the installation contractors the full amount for the work done, along with the materials,($1564) and to [redacted] Company (app $607)with another $165 fee to release the [redacted] on the sold propoerty....totallying $2,336 paid out by Innovative Floors. And without any type of a downpayment given, it's hard to pay and allow the time to hurt receivables/payables. [redacted] R [redacted]'s Flooring's insurance company will not help out since a claim was not initially filed by homeowner or the contractor within the first week or two...and hearsay is also an issue. [redacted] was willing to correct any installation in question but was told he was not allowed to come back for a simple fix.
Yes, [redacted] was 100% paid. He is a subcontractor working for several other flooring stores in the area.  I feel it would be fair if we split the difference from the ori[redacted]l $1340 to $920....which would be $420/2 ...comes to $1130 to be paid to Innovative Floors instead of $1840, then I will cancel the [redacted] on the property. That is a loss of over $1200.  I do want to resolve this so the new homeowners can also move on.  I'm sorry this whole event has happened but please realize it has and is a continued expense for Innovative Floors.  [redacted], please try to understand where I am at.  Thank you.
