The company purchased two products. The first was a $197 CPA Masters Academy course; the second was a $497 CPA Masters Academy lifetime VIP access. I requested a refund by email for both items and was told they would gladly provide me a refund if I showed them documented proof I tried to use the concepts in the course. I provided the requested proof within the hour and was told the following day the refund was processed. I checked to see if the refund had been processed and noticed only the $197 course was refunded, and not the higher priced $497 VIP access. I emailed the company and was told there was no refunds on the VIP access. I explained that if the course was refunded, the VIP which is directly related to the course should also be refunded. I also explained that in the initial email the refund was specifically requested for both purchased, and I was told in writing that if I provided the documented proof, which I did, that I would be refunded.Product_Or_Service: CPA Masters Academy VIP (Lifetime)Order_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementI would like a refund of the $497 CPA Masters VIP Lifetime access course, as agreed in the email the company sent. I purchased this company's training on 2/6/16. I immediately started watching the introductory videos and after I watched the 2nd video realized that this training program was no good UNLESS you spend a lot more money after purchasing this product. You have to open an online store and run [redacted] ads which cost more money. At my age (63) technology can be overwhelming. I decided on the day of my purchase that this was not a course I could easily understand and I asked for a refund. This company is very insensitive to seniors, they in effect told me "too bad" and that in order to get a refund I had to show them that I had opened a store and run [redacted] ads. So while they have a 14-day "refund policy", it is basically worthless, unless you spend more money to show them that you tried the product. Does this make sense. How can a company require you to spend more money in order to get a refund?Product_Or_Service: TED LiteDesired SettlementI would like a refund of my $47.00 purchase price.Business Response Hello,This was our response: This was and is our position on this. The Sales Video is VERY clear on Exactly what this is....There is no way you could not know...Thank you purchasing and using Total Ecom Domination If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help. For Our Total Ecom Domination we offer a full 14 Day Money Back Guarantee. All you have to do is simply show us you used the training in the course and took action and it just was not for you.If you contact us after the 14 days are up a refund will not be granted.Products that do not meet these criteria will not be considered forreturn. All you have to do is simply show us you used the training in the courseand took action and it just was not for you.Show us you opened a [redacted].Show us you ran [redacted] Ads.Show us you took action. You can't just watch all of the training and get a refund, ask the cinemato refund your ticket after you watched the movie, andsee what happens. You can see our refund policy here:[redacted]Thanks and hope this helps!Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)In order to get a refund, I have to spend more money. This has got to be against FTC regulations for consumers asking for a refund. How can a company require you to make other purchases,i.e., spend more money in order to get a refund. That is my complaint, tghey are requiring me to spend more money. I watch 2 videos and decided the same day this product was not for me.
