Total General Construction was contracted to rebuild my patioThis included framing and replacing/adding all footing and posts Unfortunately, the original patio was not constructed correctly or permitted when built, and it somehow slipped through the escrow process undetected when we purchased the house With several issues arising, we needed to review and correct the existing structure to code and get it permitted With four other contractors looking at it, none would bid it as it was too big of a project, they did not want to invest the time to determine what it would take to bring the structure up to the existing building codes, or they wanted to tear it down and start over - which would cost me thousands more Jeff came out, he understood my needs, and offered me a proposal - much less than a reconstruction and very reasonableHe worked with the city to design what needed to be done to meet code, and had a permit drawn, and completed this project The work crew was professional and each day prior to leaving, the work area was cleaned up Jeff was up front and openly communicated with us through out the entire process I would fully recommend Total General Construction without reservationI will use Total General Construction in the future, as good contractors are hard to findHe is honest and hardworking, and I trust him to provide accurate information

Jeff and his wife were very easy to communicate and work with They were flexible with coordinating our schedules, and finished our balcony and house siding on time as promised When the job was completed, Jeff left our backyard cleaner than what he found it

I contracted TGC to demolish my existing 2nd story deck and rebuild it. [redacted] and his crew made sure the new deck was ultra sturdy, made sure to replace the decaying rim joist, and built everything to code! We opted to have a waterproof surface and [redacted] delivered by installing the Life Deck system. [redacted] & [redacted] answered any questions and concerns that I had. His crew also cleaned up when the job was done. Overall, we're impressed with his work and would not hesitate to refer him.
