I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI understand that they do not have control over the consumer product safety commission web site and thus are unable to remove the scam phone number from the web page I'm hoping you will follow up with this organization and see if something can be done to investigate the fraudulent phone number

notification I forwarded the complaint details to the customer service manager at Total Gym Fitness, LLC; [redacted], who contacted [redacted] on January 12th.  The safety bracket she was requesting was not available so she replaced her XL model, purchased by the original owner in 2002, for the current comparable model Total Gym XLS.  On January 20th she followed up with [redacted] and confirmed that she received her new unit and processed the call tag to pick up the recalled unit the followingMonday. We have no control over CPSC removing the phone number. Please let me know if you need any additional information,

I found that there was a recall.

"Consumers should stop using the exerciser immediately and call Total Gym Fitness for a free safety bracket. For more information, consumers should call Total Gym Fitness toll free at (877) 685-1402 between 8:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. "

I called the phone number listed which is an automated message that says I have won a $100 gift card and to press 1. I pressed 0. A woman proceeded to get my information name, address and began to say that for 495 .... I interrupted her and asked if she wanted to know why I was calling. I told her I was calling to get a bracket for the Total Gym XL that had been recalled. She said they were not available and did not know when they would be available. I told her to cancel any and all information that she had for me.

It is interesting that by using the Consumer Product Safety Commission website I would get a scam phone number.

Then to top it off this website does not work. It does not let you get past Step 4.Desired Settlement: I want the bracket for the Total Gym XL to fix the safety issue.

I also want the phone number listed on the CPSC website removed and a proper phone number listed to prevent this from happening to other people.
