I purchased my car lease, t l p sold me a total loss protection if my car was a total loss from a vehicle accident, the car was in a accident and the company did not cover the whole cost of the remaining loan, they left me with a balance of $1979.84, I was told by American Honda finance that I had total loss protection on the loan if the car was a total loss from a vehicle accident 2015 Honda accorde ***XXXXXX, they are claiming vehicle damage prior to the date of loss, tarrytown Honda sold me the car with the mileage and the dents, tarrytown Honda said I had to contact t l p, thanks *** j ***

Correction to a credit report Remove the $1979.84 and correct my credit report
I could not find this case in our system. Can you get some additional information. Maybe the customer's VIN# or contract #?

The info they are looking for is in the complaint section, Just another way of dodging the issue, if they read the complaint the VIN number is listed, very poor response by someone who does not care about the public
To whom it may concern,
I am writing in response to Revdex.com Case # XXXXXXXX.
Mr. had purchased the attached Total Loss Protection (TLP) contract from the selling dealership Terrytown Honda on 1/16/2018.
Total Loss is a contract that covers a down payment of a replacement vehicle for up to $5,000.00 as explained below:
If the Vehicle as described above with properly installed Theft Deterrent System is declared a Total Loss or unrecovered theft by Your primary insurance company within the number of months as described above from the Date of Vehicle Purchase or Lease, then subject to the conditions and limitations set forth above, the Authorized Dealer guarantees the following: if the original motor vehicle was a new motor vehicle as of the Date of Vehicle Purchase or Lease, the Authorized Dealer will provide You with a credit towards the purchase of a Replacement Vehicle in the amount of 10% of the original MSRP, including dealer installed after market products, not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000), minimum payment three thousand dollars ($3,000). If the original vehicle was a used motor vehicle as of the Date of Vehicle Purchase or Lease set forth above, the Authorized Dealer will provide You with a similiar credit toward the purchase of a Replacement Vehicle not to exceed 50% of the NADA Retail Official Used Car Guide value of the vehicle as of the Date of Vehicle Purchase or Lease to a maximum amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000).
Credit will only be available at the Authorized Dealer, provided You report the Total Loss to law enforcement authorities within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge of the Total Loss and the following is made available to the Company within 30 days after the date of the Total Loss.
1) Your copy of this Guarantee;
2) A copy of the Original and Replacement Vehicle's bill of sale;
3) A copy of the police report;
4) Verification from Your primary insurance carrier substantiating the date and cause of loss, net loss amount, copy of settlement check and breakdown of the gross settlement figures.
As the Total Loss Protection is not GAP insurance, it does not cover the difference between the loan balance and insurance settlement.
If the vehicle was declared a Total Loss, the customer may file a claim for Total Loss Protection by providing us the following required documentation
1) Your copy of this Guarantee;
2) A copy of the Original and Replacement Vehicle's bill of sale;
3) A copy of the police report;
4) Verification from Your primary insurance carrier substantiating the date and cause of loss, net loss amount, copy of settlement check and breakdown of the gross settlement figures.

Total total loss protection means. Total loss protection, just another scam by a car dealership at the time of purchase, as usual dealing with any company that piggy backs a car dealership is hiding behind their words, I will take this further to the d o j and any internet complaint system that I can find, like I stated. Total loss protection, another company hiding behind not true statements for sales ,,thank you *** very disgruntled customer
