Total Mechanical has met with the customer on several occasion to try and rectify this issue and we feel that we have more than compensated the owner by crediting him $675.00 off of his bill which takes us to a net negative on this service call.  This was an unfortunate situation for the owner and his tenants but Total Mechanical does not understand the owners logic in trying to have us become responsible for a 30 year old unit that had a rotted out drain pan and a water leak that was buried in a concrete floor that was not leaking when we were on site.  Also keep in mind we did not install or maintain the unit or the buried water piping prior to this point. Tell us why here...

Review: I bought a "Maintenance Service" program in Oct 2013. I pre paid for Furnace maintenance to be done Oct 2014 and A/C to be done June 2015. Furnace work was done in Oct 2014 but no call from Total Mechanical to set up appt in June 2015 for A/C so I erroneously assumed the contract was over, used. ( I could not recall the last tune up visit or contract info. I could not find the receipts). Because I had a work injury and have not had an income since Dec 2014, I had to find a service provider that was within my budget, which I did and my A/C service was done in June 2015 by another company. In July 2015 I received a call from a Total Mechanical employee to set up an appt for my A/C, using the maintenance program I had prepaid! I told this person the above and requested a refund . She stated she would discuss the situation with someone there and would get back to me. She didn't call back at all, still has not called , as of writing this complaint. I called her back 2 more times. Still the same response. If Total Mechanical had called in June to set up the appt. as they should have, I would not have called a more affordable service provider. I would like a refund for the amount pre- paid for the A/C maintenance.Desired Settlement: I found the receipt dated 10/1/13 for the Maintenance program, I pre paid $232.21 for service for the furnace and A/C. Furnace work done Oct. 2014. I would like to be refunded $116.10 for the service I paid for the A/C but has not been done. I don't have any complaints about the service provided prior, they did a good job, but I can't afford to continue using them since my income has been drastically reduced and they are much more expensive than other companies. They should have called me in June , as the contract stated, to have the work done,,,,they didn't,,,I found someone else.

On 01/03/15, Total Mechanical came to the Milwaukee condo we own to address a problem with the HVAC system (insufficient heat). The technician added 2 lbs of R-22 to the system and recommended a leak check of the unit if it runs low again. We were billed for 3 hours @ $138 per hour; I should acknowledge this was work done on a Saturday. The total invoice for this service was $537.45: $414 for labor, $55 for materials, $39.95 for trip charge, and $28.50 for sales tax.
After receiving the invoice from my property manager, I was a little stunned regarding the labor charge of $414 for this service. On 03/02/15, in the morning, I called Total Mechanical to discuss this invoice; the women I talked to was unable to assist me but indicated the service manager would call me that afternoon. Five days later, I have not heard from anyone at Total Mechanical.
Today I plan to mail a check to Total Mechanical for the cost of materials & service charge, as well as 1 hour of labor charge, plus taxes, for a total of $246. If I do not hear from the company, I will assume they have accepted that amount as full payment for services provided.
I plan to send a copy of this review to the Siegel-Gallagher Property Manager for this building, and request it be shared with the other owners.
