Late fee with impossible delivery time
TQL is going out of their way to not pay us, not sure why they are asking the customer to charge us late fees, we only had 2.5 days to get from MO to OR, we provided the customer plenty of time to reschedule the rigger and now the customer is taking their time to figure out over time hours. Don't know how there are any overtime hours involved when my driver was there at 7am the following business day. NO employee waited for us to show up. Customer was giving plenty of time to make other arrangements, and my driver had to spend 3 nights in a hotel on top of the fuel and port fees that about totaled up to $3000. TQL is telling my dispatchers and factoring company to stop calling them for an update. Broker that is handling the load is very rude and disrespectful, I don't feel like TQL cares about their carriers. Claims agent for TQL is not helpful and is telling me the customer could wait up to 9 months to respond. We will never pull for TQL again. All the rumors are true about this company being unprofessional.

THEY WILL NOT STOP CALLING US!
I have told this company at least 30 times over the last year that we don't even ship freight and to take us off the calling list. But they never do! They just keep calling us 2-3 times every week, wasting our time. I am sick of being nice to them, even though I know it is just some wet behind the ears broker trying to cold call everyone and their dog. If our company hauled any freight, I would tell everyone to NEVER use this company because they can't even take us off a call list and every person that calls is some young, new person that does not understand WE DO NOT HAUL FRIEGHT!

Late fee
They are purposely scheduling tight deadline appointments knowing it would be close to impossible with any type of delay or:weather, ports of entry, traffic, construction ,mountain passes ect. Is is shady and not moral behavior. Last load will be hauled ever for them again.

HOW ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS?
I WAS TOLD BY MY GRANDMOTHER, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT A PERSON, PLACE OR THING...DON NOT SAY NOTHING AT ALL..

Delivery services not paid in full
The original contract amount of $900 was reduced by $465.30 by TQL. The load was delivered to Spring Valley on 11/1/2022 on time for 10.00 am appointment (the driver arrived at 9.20am and was told to wait for the lumpers). After an hour of wait, the crew of lumpers showed up and unloaded the truck. This was communicated to the broker and they approved the unloading. BOL signed by the receiving party and sent to the broker on time per contract. The lumpers did not ask for a lumper fee payment, nor they provided any receipt for lumper fee (respectively, no reimbursement claim for lumper fee was submitted by the driver.) TQL states the driver did not provide lumper fee receipt to confirm the truck got unloaded thus responsible for the cancellation fee (claiming the clause in the original agreement that says: carrier is not responsible for unloading if valid unloading receipt provided.) In other words, the driver was coerced to pay for the vehicle unloading and false deductions were made from his original contract rate.
Per 49 U.S. Code § 14103: Loading and unloading motor vehicles is responsibility of shipper or receiver. It is unlawful to coerce or attempt to coerce any person providing transportation of property to unload any part of such property onto or from such vehicle or pay one or more persons to load or unload any part of such property onto or from such vehicle…
Our numerous attempts to dispute the deduction with TQL failed. They keep saying that driver is responsible for lumper services since no receipt was provided. Filed a claim through brokers insurance company, waiting for their response. Next step is BBB and litigation.

Broker Jacob Corrill is big liar
03/31/2023 I hauled two 20ft containers for TQL from Von Omy TX to Houston TX (Bay Port), my driver notice the time to drop off stated time on BOL was 5p. Driver called Branden Hale to confirm the port will close at the stated time on the BOL. Branden informed the driver Bay Port usually unload until around 6p just try to get in line by 5p. My driver arrived at Bay Port @ 5:04p got in line. There were truck in front and behind my driver. My driver was checked into the Bay Port for unloading 20ft empties as instructed on BOL. When the driver got the the unloading dock and presented his paper work he was then told to call his dispatch because they do not accept empties at this location: The driver call dispatch. The dispatch and Jacob was on the line trying to find out what was going on and why they not accepting empties at this location of the port when TQL have over 30 trucks there being unloading; per Broker Jacob Corrill it was hard to get in touch with someone at port but hold on. So after 6:pm Jacob told driver he will have to keep load over weekend or maybe he can drop off Saturday morning; We informed Jacob we do not have a secure parking and would have to find one but it will at the expense of TQL. Jacob asked YouNext Transport llc to send the invoice to TQL. The bill was sent to TQL on 04/05/2023 for payment (200.00) for parking over the weekend. They refuse to pay! We didn't charge TQL for additional time and mileage just the monies paid for parking; Jacob said due to us being late is the reason we could not drop load. However I travel to BayPort today 04/14/2023 to ask a few questions. If we are at fault then yes will have to pay the price. I spoke to a CSR at the port who stated "the driver was checked into the port @5:25 to be unloading" there was not a problem with the time because if he was checked in the problem was not time. The problem was wrong locations. The locations on the BOL was for 40ft container not the 20ft containers which my driver had. Now Jacob is refusing to send me an updated BOL stated the fault was due to being late. Jacob know in his heart my driver was there to be unloading and was told the address was incorrect. He even went so far to be rude with me asking me "where do I think he will get the money from" as I stated I not billing him "Jacob" I am billing TQL for their mistake why should we have to pay for their mistake. The last thing the CSR rep said at the port If you receive paper work we are open.

Horrible
Worst customer experience I've ever had in dealing with a transportation company. I dealt with Austin Rubick and that guy needs an attitude change. His customer reaction is horrible. They owe me $3,500 for a service they never even did for me. I have no idea on long it is going to take to get credited back to my card. This company is fraud, unreliable and needs to be turned into the State Attorneys Office to Stop all business

Carrier charged $425 for TQL’s broker poor judgment in appointment scheduling
Our load had two pickups (on 2/13, Villa Rica & Lithia Springs, GA) and three deliveries ( on 2/14 Fowood, 8AM & Jackson MS, 10AM - and 2/15, Theodore AL, 6AM).
The first consignee, US Foods, unloaded their 15 pallets in 20 minutes. The unloading was not prepayd, which resulted in further delays at the next delivery location. (It took 4 hours for a team of people to count the 1071 cases and restock from 15 pallets on 28 pallets.)
We had to inform the next consignee about the delay, and we were told about the late fee after a half hour delay. I contacted the broker, and after a few minutes on hold with the dispatch, the broker assured me that he would pay the late fee.
The late fee of $420 was not paid and the $5 convenience fee, as well.

Don't trust TQL brokers
Booked the load with TQL.(Keep the broker name for myself this time)I have sign rate confirmation. Send the truck close to shipper, ask for driver direction. Then after almost 40 minutes of waiting before actually somebody pick up the phone,, I was put on hold, then transfer, then hold...etc. Finely after almost half and hour waiting someone told me you don't have a load. I ask why? They told me we don't have any notification, why broker take you off the load. We will send you email, soon when broker notify us why. REALLY!?
TQL do whatever they want. They don't follow any rules. TQL'S loads very cheap anyway but still looking to sell to somebody who give them cheapest offer, even if they have to cancel with other carriers. BE CAREFUL booked with them.

YOU WILL NOT GET PAID
BEWARE
You will NOT get paid if you deliver for this TQL company, they are scamming drivers with false deductions leaving them with little or no payment. Another driver cannot get his payment after 60 days! A diff driver was deducted falsely and the brokers will not answer to him for his payment or why they noted a false charge!

Incessant Harassment
I hired and fired this company in January 2018 with very clear instructions to NOT contact me or my company again and that I would never conduct business with them as they booked the shipment value incorrectly, despite written documentation supporting the value. This incompetence cost me $2,300 and I received zero support in recovering any funds. Since then, I received additional calls and again reiterated the no contact.

However, I suddenly began receiving a barrage of phone calls which began on Thursday, 12/8/22 with (10) starting at 1:57PM. On Friday, 12/9/22, I received (4) phone calls starting at 7:19AM (Outside allowed hours). On Tuesday 12/13/22, I received (17) phone calls starting at 10:04AM. On Tuesday, I sent a message to the company demanding the calls be stopped and contacted their office via phone to ensure they received the message. The message was received but the calls did not stop. Apparently business is slow and they have nothing better to do than attempt to harass and bully my company.

carrier
I booked a load from a broker who called Hunter, the trip started from TX to Arizona, and I dropped the trailer with the load at Home depot, I took pictures and I checked the trailer before and after I done, Unfortunately, that broker hold my load amount which is $2400 because he said the the break light of trailer was not working, and he refused now to answer me, or let me how much I should pay to repair the light, or release the load amount. I am waiting for 72 days and nobody help. Mr. Hunter is not answering the phone and it seems he refused to pay my company.

+3

Very rude and unprofessional
Their do not follow their load confirmation and give oral instruction outside of contract instead. Our pick up window is 6:00-11:00, and they pull us off at 9:20 saying that they are not sure if we can make it on time.

+3

One word, extortion
Pull a load, it far exceeds the "approximate" weight on the BOL. Offered 3 choices to this broker - 1) returning to customer, remove partial load, 2) staying put, have the shipper remove load (30m from their location) or 3) pay an additional $500 for overweight/oversize load. They took the $500 to ensure delivery. Seven months later they file a claim wanting their $500 back. Now after 20 days of documentation and conversations they still won't budge. Even offered to split the difference, nothing! This is a $4B company and this is only 1 of 100s of complaints I have read, endured or heard about. If we rejected the load, they would have blackballed us on Carrier411. Just saying,

+2

After nearly a month of back and forth emails - even an offer of $250 for each of us to accept, we will pay the extortion amount. It is either that or we won't ever see the January 2022 load revenue. I advised my company to never book freight with this broker in the future. Not to damage TQL, but to save them from this unethical way of making money. To me, this case is closed, unless they answer this but then again...why would they? They are $4B company, whether it is our lonely $1m company or $100m - they still have the bully mentality. All this for $500?

Fraud and Slander
We booked four loads with TQL for 08/15, 08/17, 08/18 and 08/19 under load numbers 21713955, 21717824, 21717825 and 21717826 with broker Matthew Lewis. We did not receive the first rate con until 30 minutes after we were supposed to pick up. Our driver called the broker for clarification of the pickup address, the broker insulted him and yelled at him for being late. Cut off for unloading was 6:00 pm and the driver was there at 5:45 pm, the crew refused to unload him so he explained that he was expected on another load next morning and dentention would be charged. The customers crew decided to unload the truck and the driver thanked them for doing him a big favor and returned. The next day the broker told us not to show up for the additional loads as the customer complained that they had to unload. The broker filed a fraudulent and slanderous report that our company refused to perform on the remaining rate cons (they were never sent to us) this effectively black lists us from any future TQL loads and the broker will not even speak with our CEO. We have done a lot of business with TQL in the past and hope this dispute can be resolved without legal involvement. We like working with you but we will not be slandered!

TQL is harassing. Never use this carrier
I have never used them for any shipments. They have never been competitive with rates or capabilities. They have my information, email and cell number. And they will not stop contacting me. They call me every few days. I have asked them to remove me from their list. I have blocked their numbers. But they call from different numbers with different area codes. I receive emails from them at least weekly sometimes daily. Now they have started texting me every 2 days. The text is short "Please Call and a phone number". I wouldn't use them as a carrier even if they paid me to do it. They have horrible business practices, and they need to stop.

+4

I am experiencing the same harassment and would also file a complaint with the BBB and the Ohio Attorney General for more visibility. They are bullies and incompetent. Period.

Fair warning
Cancelled two loads on me within a two week period! DO NOT BOOK LOADS WITH THIS TRASH COMPANY! You will get left sitting high and dry and they do not give a damn about you missing important appointments or if you have to deadhead 1000 miles on your $$$! Sorry low life individuals working there. Piss poor management! You've been warned!

Awfull
Grobertson@TQL com
This is the most uncomprehensive broker with unprofessional team (Ryan, Brandon).
We booked a load with them from NJ - WI after my drivers had arrived at 08:44 a.m. in WI, they were told by receiver that they never had an appointment for this particular load. We tried to reach the broker several times but there was no broker himself, and one of a team members answered a phone. The team members with name Ryan and Brandon told us that they had an appointment. Meanwhile, the receiver stated that they did not and they will not unload our truck till 4 p.m.. Broker kept tell us that receiver is going to unload us in an hour. In result, my truck got out facility at 18:47. Please take any needed action so this team will not destroy others time and business! We and our PA carrier community took a note in our database so every carrier from our community know this unapprehensive team!
We would have never expected this unprofessionalism from TQL but unfortunately a broker like that make us think three times before book any load with TQL.

We booked an load with TQL CA-WA we were told that we will have a pallet fee which can be paid by driver and reinburse it or we can call for a comcheck ,my driver check in for the pick up at 4:00am he decided to pay with his credit card, after pick up we called and advise that we paid the pallet fee, person on the phone confirmed that the pallet fee will be reinburse .
I will mention that we did a perfect job accept trucking/macropoint updates even we delivery load earlier than broker was expecting
right after we delivery the load we sent the BOL and Pallet fee receipt attached ,I didn"t receive any confirmation I called TQL and here the problems came they were saying that on rate con is saying that carrier is in charge for pallet fee ,after that I was told that broker on the load will call me ,I never got a call back
I keep calling them every single day on 11/05 I was told that is too late to reinburse the pallet fee as the load was already invoice ,new day new reason why pallet fee can"t get reinburse
Last time I was told that when I booked the load was mention that we will get reinburse just if we will get pallet out of pick up location(I have no idea how that works ,I was supposed to ask)
broker promised me that he will send recording phone call were I confirmed
I am still waiting on that recorded phone call

Total Quality Logistics Response • Dec 05, 2019

Good Morning Revdex.com,

The $205.92 pallets fee is being repaid to this carrier. I just emailed Ion directly to inform him same, and also separately emailed him a revised Rate Confirmation with this fee added for him to sign for his records and ours.

Please update your records and close this out. Please advise of any questions.

Thank you,
