We did contract with Mr***. We did not ask for full payment, but he stated that he didn't want to have to write another check. I believe he did this in the thought that he might come before work that was contracted before himWe did have to do a rubber roof, as the building
department required it. It was only a 3/roof, and rubber is requiredThe breaking shingles were due to an old and brittle roof.Homeowner was taken on roof and shown just how brittle the shingles were, and since we had to tie into existing roof, they needed replaced. Our foreman was up on roof also, and heard homeowner agree to roof condition, and the $charge to fix this area of roof.The roof vent was cracked, and had been caulked by former people, not Smith Brothers. We did remove and replace the vent.All concerns were addressed and approved by the building inspector. Roof sheathing was installed correctly. The inspector told homeowner that it was, and there was no need for another barrier between the rubber roof and the sheathing.Job passed all inspections. We of course never received final payment. Just glad it is done
