Two years ago I hired Curtis for the entire scope of landscaping our residence. The work was slow, communication was slow, but the quality in general was good. However, he sub-contracted the fencing and the gates have never closed properly. Despite numerous promises over the past two years to repair the fence, it is still not fixed. I was charged $1400 for the two gates - which is an extremely large sum for two gates. The problem is children or other small people can't close the gate. The neighbours kids will toss a ball over, open the gate to come get it, then are unable to close it. Then I let my dog out not knowing the gate is open, and he runs out onto the street. I could go out and fix the issues, but then I want my $1400+GST back.
A week ago I notified him that I would leave this review without a refund or repair. Next week I am filing a civil suit. For all the good work he has done, to let such a very small thing, probably a 30 minute fix, grow to such a dissatisfied customer is a poor business decision.
