We did the following work at the *** residence, 16xcolored patio, 14xpergola, finished fence, trash gate, firepit, entertainment center,The concrete patio has three stamps across the middle, the joints have to be made every feet to keep the concrete from cracking, joint cuts are not
placed for appearance they are place for the structure of the concreteAt the owners request the stamps were placed directly in the middle of the patio like we had previously discussedAfter the patio was completed we did a walk through and *** was pleased and she paidIf they didnt like it they wouldnt have paid*** and *** were set on having the work done before winter, at the time there was about a week before it would be to cold for concrete for the rest of the year, myself and my partner ryan told *** face to face that because the ground was so wet it would cause big ruts in the yard from the machine and *** said it was okay because he planned on redoing the yard this summerThe patio job left the yard destroyed, however we went back and tilled the yard and removed all the ruts and a full truck load of gravel from their previous landscape at no additional cost, nowhere in the contract did we discuss bringing in top soil to cover the yardAfter the job was complete I did a walk through with *** and she was very excited and pleased with the work, shortly after she wrote a review on my website stating how good of a job we did and she would recommend us to anybody, I have a photo on my phone of the review for all the work we did and how pleased they wereShe recently deleted her review and all her comments on my post telling everybody that was her house and they loved the work. The reason one of the pergola supports are a few inches back is because we had to work around the power line to the houseI will attach photosOriginally when we talked about the outdoor entertainment center it was around feet just big enough for a TV to sit on, I also have a 3d rendering that we provided the ***s before anything was startedAt the time they approved everything until it was time to build then they wanted the entertainment center to be feet long, with storage areasthe budget for the entertainment center minus the cost of labor was $The plan went from the TV sitting on the entertainment center to having two doors that open that will fit a inch flat screenWe did our best with the budget, *** contacted me and said *** didn't like it so I went back that day that correct the issueWhat he describe he wanted is a solid oak entertainment center, which would cost around dollars, I told him on that budget there's just no way to do that.we decided I would just remove it at no costI took a dollar loss on that jobI will attach photos of the entertainment centerThe air conditioning and heating company was there a day before we started building the entertainment center, *** told me they were having problems with the furnaceI will be contacting that company today to find out the exact day they were called out and I have the day that we started the entertainment centerit was at the homeowners request that we install a vent over the PVC pipe to hide itWe finished the top lattice on the fence and installed the lights that the homeowners purchasedWe werelights short and *** asked me if he could give us money to pick up moreI said yesThe lights they bought were very pour quality and under $dollarsThat would explain why they quit working the first nightI did not choose the lightsAfter the fence was complete I did a walkthrough with *** and he said it looked great and he paid meA few days later They asked me to take the lights back and I couldn't do that because I gave the receipts to ***All of the materials for the trash gate were provided by the home ownerWe built the gate much is possible before running out of material they were not able to provide more material that day so we leftOnce they bought the rest of the materials we finish the gate, I told *** we needed a cable to prevent the gate from sagging which was not providedI didn't hear anything else until the gate started sagging then they bought itwe came back to install it .we knocked several times both vehicles in the driveway nobody answered the door so we leftIt wasn't until she wrote a bad review that I quit communicating with herI have still not been paid in full for the concrete stepsWe feel like we went above and beyond as much as possible before feeling taken advantage ofI have pages of great reviews. This is the only bad review total transformation has received. If you have any questions please call ***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I am rejecting this response because it is
full of lies. I have every single text message we sent to each other from the
first day I asked [redacted] Jones to come out and give me an estimate. Everything is
DATE and TIME stamped. We also have taken several pictures of the problem
areas, and I’ve never given a bad review about Total Transformation outside of
this Revdex.com complaint. The good review I done at [redacted]’s request was done before
the problems came up but before the jobs were, in his words, completed.  As
of now, they still haven’t picked up the supposed customer stack stone fire pit
that was later determined to be carried at [redacted]s Home Improvement. This
customer fire pit was supposed to be custom built with different shades of gray
stack stone that we paid $700. The exact same one is at [redacted]’s for $179.98
(Model [redacted]) which is predominantly brown, not gray. Even the [redacted]’s
advertisement calls the fire pit brown. They dropped it off without making
contact with us so we didn’t see it at all. As you can tell in my text messages
back to him asking when they were going to bring it. That is when he messaged
back stating he dropped it off earlier, but he knocked and no one answered. We
have two dogs, for which one barks incessantly, even when family members arrive
home, so someone knocking on the door would not have occurred in silence. The
entertainment center was supposed to match the fire pit, instead, it was plain
yellow pine and lauan was used for the outside. It looked like a jig saw puzzle
pieced together with gaps, uneven seams. Close up photographs of it can be
provided and reveal the poor quality. As for a budget, a budget was not
provided. We provided to Total Transformations what we wanted and they told us
how much it would cost. I NEVER gave them a dollar amount to stick to. As for
the freeze lines in the concrete, we didn’t know where they would be placed
until after it was already done, which was done after sunset. Had we known the
placement of the freeze lines would throw off the layout and look of the
stamps, we would have never opted for the stamps or we would have advised to
Total Transformations to show us a rendering of the placement of the stamps and
freeze lines in the concrete. On multiple occasions, we sought recommendations
from [redacted], being the business owner and having stated he had done many of these
jobs, explaining to him that we had never had this type of work done and we
would like their feedback and suggestions on making this project a success. As
the home owners, we feel that [redacted], knowing they would be coming back to put those
in, should have told us that the stamps will look silly, off-balance and that
the lines would intersect the stamps once the lines are put in.  We feel that it would be his job, to recommend
in his professional opinion, what would look better. We have never hired for a
job like this before we didn’t know how it worked at all.  We begged [redacted]
for 6 weeks to please come back and finish the job we paid them to do. After
the construction of the trash gate, for which [redacted] did not install the wheel
for the gate to ride on, my husband was the one that told [redacted] that the trash
gate was too big and it would start sagging shortly, it was his idea to fix it,
not [redacted]’s. After speaking with [redacted] and Ryan in person, [redacted] explained that
the gate didn’t match the fence, which was a requirement in the original
request. After we purchased the additional materials to rework the gate from
one 8 foot gate, to a two 4 foot gates, latching in the middle, they never came
back to fix it.  As for the power line being the reason the post is
further away from the house, [redacted] is wrong, it is the other side that is
opposite of the side with the power lines, that is further away from the home.
There is NO reason for the second post to be off by approximately 6 inches. As
for us wanting this done before winter, nice try [redacted]. You didn’t even start
until November. You said there would only be a delay in this work if the
temperature drops below freezing for pouring and setting the concrete. You
promised me 3 different times you would be back on certain dates to finish up
and you never came back. I was never pleased with that entertainment center [redacted].
After you were done and called me out there to come look, I almost died and you
know it, I told you [redacted] will have to look at that and call you later to
discuss it. The heating company came 2 days AFTER you built the entertainment
center. I have text messages between me and you, [redacted]. I told you in the
message that they said the entertainment center is what choked out our furnace.
The Furnace man even helped [redacted] pull apart the entertainment center so it
wouldn’t break the new $2,660 furnace we just had installed. You knew that
[redacted] worked nights, so when you asked for my opinion on work performed, I told
you that [redacted] would have to see it first. Just because I said it was okay or
looked fine, doesn’t mean that it was done right. I feel like you took my
responses out of context to justify stating you completed a portion of the
work. This is why it always seemed like I was okay with the work, but [redacted]
wasn’t. And we shared that feedback as soon as [redacted] had a chance to see the
work. This observation was true for the stamping and freeze lines. It was also
true for the first construction of the trash which you never installed the
wheel, which caused it to sag. It was never constructed to the match the fence,
which was discussed verbally when we walked through the build initially and
after you built it the first time. Another example was the pergola. It looks
great from a distance. But when observed closely, the rafters are out of
alignment creating a curvy/wavy appearance. The cuts do not allow each board to
interconnect for stability and the cuts that were made show that every rafter
laid was set into a gap that is ½ inch or more too big. As for the post being
offset, you knew it was, but didn’t inform us until after [redacted] observed the
offset when you built the entertainment center, for which I have pictures. It
was [redacted]’s idea to cut small boards to cover the large gaps in the rafters which
you didn’t cover on the inside. The concrete in the yard is not from tearing
down the original gazebo, it was from the cement being dumped in several places
and not cleaned up prior to tilling the back yard. This caused the cement to
scattered throughout the back yard. It is clearly residual materials from the
construction of the patio. And if some of it was from removing the gazebo,
which was part of the job for which you were paid to perform, cleaning up the
area is your responsibility. As for you giving [redacted] the receipt for the
lights, which isn’t plausible because we don’t have any of the other receipts,
why would ask me to mark the ones not working during the night time, so you
could look at each one and know how many to get? And we hadn’t even discussed
the concrete splatter on the back of the house from where the concrete was
poured, and not to mention the bare area that was never covered on the side of
the house that was exposed when the steps were rebuilt, which you were supposed
to get covered.
REMEMBER IF YOUR GONNA LIE, MAKE SURE I
DONT HAVE IN WRITING WHAT YOU REALLY SAID AND WHAT [redacted] AND I TOLD YOU.
We have several estimates on what it is
going to cost us to fix the items that have went wrong. These can be provided
upon request.

[redacted]
