We have received your letter dated November 30th concerning a complaint you have ID'ed as *** and provide the following response Once we received your letter Jeanette called the customer on December 5th to discuss the complaints she had forwarded to your office Your letter is
the first notification we received about this customers complaints, at no time did she attempt to contact us to air her grievance Her statement that we are scamming our customers is disturbing to say the least We have been in business for over years servicing the Grand Forks community and have never been so insultedWe take pride in our customer service and always stand behind the products that we sell We contest her statement that we sell expired products and that the Asian Wafers (green flavor) are toxic First off, the Asian Wafers (green flavor) she refers to are in fact Durian Wafers This was agreed upon in the conversation that Jeanette had with her on December 5th I encourage you to look up any reference to Durian and the odor the fruit emits You will find descriptions that will describe the odor of Durian from foul to sulfur like It is not toxic or dangerous to inhale it might be unpleasant but it is not dangerous She references some achute powder that in her opinion should be red but was in fact was yellow There is no expiration date on this product but the contents are clearly visible through the package If she thought it was old why did she purchase it? Jeanette also talked to her about some frozen grated cassava that she said had a past expiration date on it Jeanette opened and cooked two of the packages she referred to and found them to be fine and not sour as was accused We have called all our distributors and talked to them about the freshness of the products they provide us We deal in ethnic products and not all of them come with expiration dates, nor are they packaged as nicely as the majority of American based products We track things the best we can and work hard to ensure we provide the best possible ethnic food products to the citizens of Grand Forks and the surrounding communities We will be sending a refund totaling $to the complainant and hope this will be the last we hear from her and encourage her to shop elsewhere Again her statements were inflammatory and could cause irrefutable harm to our business Please respond so that we know you received this and it meets the requirements needed.
