Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Hello,
I would like to reject this [redacted]'s response and assertion regarding my complaint.
He states that I brought the car in for rotted rubber and windshield replacement when in fact I initially requested the window replaced to his office [redacted] for a chip and leaking water a day prior.
I should also clarify that me and my wife were there and she never intervened nor commented.  We asked how long the job would take and he said about two hours so we left for a run in Highland Park. Upon returning I asked him if I could enter the garage area where the car was being worked on and he said yes. I entered and his story regarding rubber pieces being on the car roof is a complete lie.  There were only metal trims on the car roof and caused extensive chipping.  I immediately approached him and asked to have workers remove it.  I also noticed many glass chips from the hood and asked how they would remove it safely.  They said "i got it just leave the area!"
I did converse with this rude and bullying little man for just 30 seconds because he wouldn't give me an opportunity to discuss anything in between his sarcasm and put downs.  In fact, a seemingly superior boss arrived in an older   White Mercedes SLK and [redacted] began running errands and politely addressing that man's requests.  That man then sat in the front office also giving orders a shirt time later.  [redacted] stated that he worked on these old cars gor 30 years and bragged about how they all leak the same way and he knew how to fix them.  Two hours later than promised he stuck his torso into the waiting area and pointed at me and said "your car is ready!" [redacted] then suggested since it was Friday I should pay in cash. I used my card.
Wife and I waited outside and eventually several minutes later the smoking employee drove it out.  I asked him if it was fixed or leaked still he stated it was.  I went home.
Once I arrived home I poured water unto the windshield and noticed immediate water leaking into the car.
I called the shop and they gave me an appointment for Monday morning at 10 am.  I returned Monday and [redacted] left word that [redacted] should look at the Car for leak and scratches which were caused by his repair guys.  Please note even new cars off a lot have minimal scratching let alone a 30 year old car. [redacted] had another employee look at the car and he suggested I wash it.
I did and it leaked.  They then asked me to come the next morning when [redacted] would speak with me. Next morning Tuesday, I arrived at 10 AM approx. and [redacted] stated aloud in his cubby hole office, "i did that in purpose [redacted] just leave the car and we'll take care of it!"  I was shocked and then asked him myself if he had in fact done it on purpose and he repeated it to me again even louder.  I rode off in my bike twds my home.  At 11:20 Am approx I called to check on status of the car and he telled ,"i was just gonna call you...uour car is done!"  I asked him had it been checked for leaks and he barked "its ready!"

I arrived at the shop within the hour and the and was unlocked and parked across [redacted]. I asked the [redacted] if I could speak with [redacted] and she said to wait a few.  After 12 minutes I asked again and she said he could not speak witj me and told her to tell me to ho have the car compounded and the come back and talk to him.  From my home I later called him and he yelled at me verbatim, "listen pal you came here with a leak and you still got a leak its not my problem! "
I stated I would handle it myself then contacted Revdex.comNYC.

I was respectful and never condescending towards he and his staff.  Im sure he has video surveillance to check my body language as I pleaded for answers.  This man is a bully with a desire to be a comedian or maybe thinks he's made but I never became condescending.

Review: I called Touch of Glass and a [redacted] named [redacted] spoke with me. I Explained that I needed a windshield changed due to a nick in the glass and water leakage into the car on May *, 2014. She told me that at 2;00 PM that day the windshield would be delivered and that I should bring it in the following day at 10:00 AM. I specifically asked her if they could change the rubber seals on the windshield as well and would the price include everything. She stated that it would include the seals and final price would be $275.00. I brought my 1984 300D Mercedes Benz classic car into the shop at 10:00 AM as instructed on 5/*/2014 and was told to leave it in the lot by a very RUDE [redacted] named [redacted]. I did so as instructed.

The car windshield was removed and upon noticing the work in progress the techs had placed the metal windshield trim on the roof of the car and I immediately asked [redacted]. to have them remove it because it would cause paint scratches. I asked his permission to retrieve personal items from the car and was given permission. They did so but it had already caused pitting and scratching on the original paint. I also noticed tremendous amounts of chipped glass on the hood of the car and asked how they would remove it safely without scratching the car and was ordered out of the shop area by a tall guy smoking a cigarette. At 1:15 PM I was told the car was ready and that I could drive off. Upon reaching my house I noticed a multitude of scratches on the hood and roof of the car which had not been there in the morning. I called the Touch of Glass shop again and was instructed to bring the car back on Monday at 9:00 AM. On May [redacted] 2014 I brought the car in and [redacted] left word that he wouldn't be in to speak with me so a guy named [redacted] looked at the car and the scratches. I was told to go and wash the car to get a better look at the paint damage and to check the water leaking so I did as told.

I returned with the car washed and also showed them that water had in fact leaked into the vehicle once again.

I was told to come in to the shop again on May [redacted], 2014 early in the morning. I did as told.

I arrived at the shop at 10:00 AM on May [redacted], 2014 and [redacted]. stated that he purposely let the window leak to see because he has always worked on these old Benzes before and has always fixed the problem. He told this to [redacted] and myself in a very loud voice.

I couldn't see the logic but I handed over my keys and left the office as instructed. I insisted to leave my phone number and was yelled at by [redacted]. again so I left it with the [redacted].

At 12 Noon I called and asked about the car and [redacted]. said it was done. When I asked about the scratches he began an insulting tirade about how old the car is and what did I expect him to do. He stated that he was in the car detailing business before and with a good compound this problem would be solved. He also said that I needed to stop crying about it and come get my car. He also stated that the car has a thousand scratches on it and my claim was absurd.

I asked him to be nice and stop insulting me and he barked that he had three other people on line waiting to speak with him and would speak with me in person when I came in. Once there I asked to speak with him and he refused to address me in person stating that the windshield was fixed and sealed and the car was across the street. When I asked about the scratches via the [redacted], he sent word that I should have the car compounded and then return to speak with him.

Upon reaching my home I poured water over the windshield and notice an immediate amount of water leaking again into the vehicle. In addition, the glass can easily be pushed in with one finger at the very corner bottom right.

I called to notify him of the problem and he YELLED and told me he was done with me and my issue. He lied and stated that I came in for a windshield switch and he did so and the problem was my problem. He lied about promising to fix the leak and addressing the on-site scratches to the paint on the roof and hoDesired Settlement: I want this [redacted] to either replace my windshield properly.

I want the new scratches his workers caused to be removed from the vehicles roof and hood.

I want him to keep his word and stop the water leak as he bragged at having worked on older mercedes benzes since early 90s.

I want a refund for the improper work if he doesn't complete the desired results.
