Touchstone Realty has charged me for maintenance repairs on my rental property unlawfully in accordance with contractin April 2015 I submitted an online service repair request to my rental property in which I live in that Touchstone manages.The nature of the request was to look in to a presumed water leak from 2nd floor bathroom of unknown origin thag had communicated water damage to the ceiling of the first floor of the home directly below the point of presumed origin.The end state was they sent a plumber out, who fixed the issue and had stated he would contact Touchstone realty to finish the repair of the ceiling since it had been damaged by water.When no action was taken within 30 days, I submitted an additional online request stating that the plumber had said "if there was no further spreading of the damage on the ceiling for 7 days, I was to contact your office so definitive repair arrangements may be sought". That statement was officially submitted on their portal website. When there had been no action on that, I noticed various stages of wetness on the ceiling once again on 2 SEP 2015. I submitted a service request to Touchstone again annotating "The previous issue seems to be persisting, and I recommend you send someone to the house to take a look"Touchstone realty submitted an URGENT service request for a plumber to look at the issue again. He did, and concluded that the ceiling needed to be "painted" and that was the fix for water damage. I then received an invoice at 1602 on 03SEP2015 via my web portal page with a due date of 03SEP2015. Their business closes at 1700 on that day. This was an unfair and unrealistic expectation. I scheduled a meeting with their manager [redacted] at 1000 on 04SEP2015 to discuss the contractual agreement which states: (h) not deliberately or negligently destroy, deface, damage or remove any part of the Premises (including all facilities, appliances or fixtures) or permit any person, known or unknown to the Tenant, to do so;In complying with not "neglegently defacing" the home, I believe I rightfully submitted a service request, and it was up to the realtor company to choose the correct contractor OR call me for clarification of the issue prior to the service request. Her response was to me that: "You must pay this, its not negotiable, and if you try to pay your rent on the portal, I will automatically deduct the money from your rent for the service call, and your rent will become delinquent and you will be removed from the premesis".
