Review: I brought two laptops to tower computers for an estimate on repairs. laptop one would not connect to internet and laptop two had a cracked screen. I wanted an estimate to fix wireless card on laptop one and an estimate to repair cracked screen on laptop two. I was required to pay 102. dollars down (visa) for repairs if I authorized them. I called the next day and he said laptop one was filled with viruses and would cost over 200 to repair and laptop two would cost over 300 to repair. I immediately told them I did not want either repaired due to cost. I picked them up that day but did not get my deposit back. estimates are usually free elsewhere. I brought laptop one to another shop and they found no viruses and fixed wireless card. tower computer store misrepresented and tried to rip me off for uneeded repairs.Desired Settlement: I want my 102 dollar payment (visa) credit.
