Review: I recently purchased a house and procured insurance from this business through Geico Insurance co. After procuring this insurance and payment of the year in full the insurer performed an unannounced inspection without notifying me, or providing me an opportunity to be present during this inspection. The results of their inspection was that some roof shingles needed to be replaced and they threatened cancellation if not done in 21 days. Although this is a very difficult task to complete this time of year due to contractor lea time we were able to find a contractor and have the roof repaired. we then sent a reply stating the work was done and they could return and review. However they instead insisted on pictures which is not possible for us to obtain without taking camera to a store and having developed, therefore I again provided information to them (via mail) stating they were welcome to return and see the work was completed. The response I received was a cancellation notice. I believe this to be very unprofessional and will most likely result in their keeping additional funds calling it some kind of cancellation fee. I am not at this time interested in their reconciliation, rather I am asking Revdex.com to post this on their website so other people looking for house insurance don't get taken (swindled) in the same way.Desired Settlement: This Insurance company should provide a full refund of the money provided since they entered this agreement under false pretense and refuse to simply verify what they identified through an unauthorized inspection of my property without my permission. I would also like this complaint to be posted on the Revdex.com website for other consumers so they are not swindled.
