Town And Country Service Center Reviews (%countItem)

On Aug 28, 2018 our 2013 *** 370Z was taken in for oil change, 4 tire balance and 4 wheel alignment. The tech did state that upon completion that one of the wheels could not be fully aligned and did not know why. The car was driven the next day and experienced wheel vibration and then proceeded to the local dealership. The dealership found that the alighnment was out even though Country Town Tire had done the service only a day before. The *** service center was able to correct the alignment and also re-balanced the tires. They stated that Country Town Tire may need to have their equipment re-checked. The repair by *** resolved the vibration. This cost us $95.90 on top of the cost from Country Town Tire of $103.99 for the same work. Today, August 31st we went to Country Town Tire with their paperwork and *** and explained the problem. I was told by Tyler that there was nothing he could do as far as refunding any of the charges and that his equipment was new. I responded that if he could not do anything as far as some refund I would then file a complaint with the Revdex.com.

On 8/31/17, I dropped off my 2004 Ford Escape to Country Town, and told them I would be picking it up the same afternoon, and explained that I was pretty sure it needed brakes, and to please try and stay in my budget of $250. Jeremy at the counter called me at work, and said that it could not be fixed for that price and when I asked what price range I was looking at, he said at least $500. I needed the car back that day, as I was scheduled to go to Florida the following day and didn't want to have to worry about it.
I picked it up at approximately 4:15 that day and drove it home. The following day I did not drive it all, because I have another vehicle that I use mostly for work, which is a 94 Nissan Sentra.
On Saturday, 9/2, when I drove it, I could sense that it was not fixed properly because I heard a noise when it came to a complete stop. I called an told my ex husband and he scheduled for my car to be seen by his mechanic in Statesville. He asked if I could be at his shop at 10:00 a.m on Monday- yesterday which was Labor Day. The mechanic looked atit and said there is no way that the caliper had been changed because it was rusted VERY bad. I showed him my receipt and he said " those people really took you for a ride". He has been in business over 30 years. He took the wheel off and I took several pictures, which I have copies of in my FB inbox. I can send them for viewing. My bill was $508!! I also went to another mechanic who said the exact same thing. We then went to Auto Zone and took several pictures of a new caliper.
I went to Country Town this a.m. explained the situation to Jeremy, who refused to give me a refund. He insisted that the calipers were changed, and further insulted my intelligence by saying "if you remember, it was raining when you left here- which I told him, sir, this is years of rust and there is no way the calipers were changed and 3 witnesses had stated that. I asked for corporate office- he gave a number that did not work initially and then gave a number for Tony Wr

Town And Country Service Center Response

Hello Mrs Neal, my name is Tony *** and I'm the General Manager for Country Town Tire. I received your letter concerning Mrs *** complaint with our Taylorsville location. Mrs *** has contacted me directly about these concerns to which I made the following offer.Mrs *** stated that she felt that we hadn't removed & replaced her original calipers with NEW remanufactured ones. So in an effort to appease her, I have offered TO REFUND Mrs *** the amount she was billed for the new calipers that were installed. Additionally we can also provide her with the original bad calipers that were taken off of her 2004 FORD Escape. in an effort to prove that the work she was originally billed for was indeed performed.Should Mrs *** feel that there is a safety issue with ANY work we've performed, Country Town Tire will be more than happy to schedule a re inspection and confirm that the braking system is operating properly. If she'd like we can do the re inspection at ANY of our locations. Please contact me directly at the below contact number to schedule that service. The above offer is valid through the end of this month 09/30/17 and will be given no further consideration after that date.Regards.Tony *** / General Manager/ Country Town Tire(office) 828-624-0623
