We, Town & Country Landscaping, began doing business with Mr& Mrs [redacted] on 2/10/2018.? The initial quote was for $3,for building a wall that was approximately ft long and fthigh built out of Hampton Straight face gray stones and caps.? We added $1,for replacing rotted landscaping timbers with new timbers in the same spot as the existing & fill in holes in the yard using topsoil.? Before we arrived on site Mr [redacted] informed us that he did not want us to fill in the holes in the yard; as a result of this decision we subtracted the amount for the topsoil and labor for this portion of the job, which was $300.? The remaining $was for material and labor for demolishing existing, furnishing, and installing the new landscape timbers in the requested area.Mr [redacted] states that he was supposed to get a ft long wall; our quote clearly states that the length of the wall is to be approximately ft long.? When we do our measurements things are not always exact as ground conditions and other environmental factors have to be taken into account for.? It could have very well ended up being that we used more material, but it just happened in this case that we were able to come in under on mnaterial.? Had we had to use more material than what was originally quoted we certainly wouldn't have charged Mr& Mrs [redacted] more for this. The wall falling over was due to an excessive amount of water flowing in from Mr& Mrs [redacted] 's neighbor's property, which caused the gravel of the base to be washed away causing stones, towards the end of the shed, to fall.? As soon as we were made aware of this issues we went back to the jobsite and repaired the wall to brand new standards.? We were told by Mrs [redacted] that they were satisfied with this repair. We are not sure of exactly which issue Mr [redacted] is referencing when he mentions sloppy work; but Mr [redacted] was on site each day we were there except the final day.? Any issues that were brought up by Mr [redacted] while we were on site were addressed in the same day.? We blew off the driveway of any and all excess material each day we were complete and we reseeded any areas of the yard that were damaged by any equipment that was used on site.? we did have a power steering leak that we did not know about until the next day but we remedied the leak by putting oil dry on it and you are no longer able to see the spot that was left

This just shows poor workmanship.? These were supposed to be set in, not on top of the ground.? ? This was to be in exchange for stones we did not get.? ? The stonework is obviously much more costly than the? $dollars the landscape ties cost

I purchased the materials and got a structural engineer's drawing on it. The county said I couldn't do it without impacting the neighbor's retaining wall. The stones were being stored at *** *** ***. Then the flood happened. *** *** *** closed as a
business as a result of it. The customer is fixing the wall now with different materials which will be approximately $I had already purchased the stones in the amount of $(approximately). After several attempts to contact *** *** ***, I am still not able to retrieve the stones or get a refund because they are out of business

These do not show
clearly what I wanted them to show, but we contracted for feet of wall @inches high. (two blocks and a cap).. What we got was feet @ 1.5 and the other part is feet at inches highThis is not what we contracted for. Originally the contract for the wall was for $

This just shows poor workmanship. These were supposed to be set in, not on top of the ground. This was to be in exchange for stones we did not get. The stonework is obviously much more costly than the $dollars the landscape ties cost

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Instead of feet, we got feet of wall; feet of which was only one stone high, not as agreed upon. We agreed to take off the remainingstones around a tree, in exchange for some landscape timbers. pieces @ $per timber. He is a better swift talker than we are, so I guess it is his word against ours. That's a shame because we were overcharged by at least $We are year old senior citizens, so I guess we are fair game. You have the pictures to show you what whatwas done, so that should explain it
Sincerely,

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Our Association provided checks ($1,000, $2,& $3,895) written by City & Village Tax Office from our general operations account which represented 50% of the proposed constructionThe contractor was responsible for obtaining and supplying the materials to be used for the agreed upon work The expectation was the successful purchase and delivery of the building material to the job siteTown & Country Landscaping represents that the material had already been purchased from ** *** *** and was being store on siteThe quote provided indicates a quote date of Dec15, and an expiration date of Jan14, with payment terms noted as “Net days”. We have not been provided cancelled checks for payment of either the $1,for the engineer’s drawings (*** *** ***) or the $5,for material purchased (*** *** ***) The flooding in the Valley Park area occurred in April - May long after StLouis County refused to issue a construction permit A reasonable question is whether or not the contractor was responsible for the funds provided for material or the actual materials purchased? (The materials were not delivered to the job sight as indicated on the quote at a cost of $425.00)While we are sympathetic in regards to *** *** and Town and Country Landscaping, the bottom line is that our condominium association is out $7,in payment for materials and design work*** *** *** *** did not determine where the supplies were to be purchased or when they should be delivered, to that end we cannot understand how the loss of funds used to purchase the materials should be incurred by our association Further we remain perplexed as to the A+ listing on the Revdex.com site for ** *** *** with the *** ** *** *** *** ** address? Is this company really out of business or have they simply moved locations? Respectfully,
*** *** *** *** *** ***
