I was never told they don't service this brand of Trimmer. They were fine with taking it in, but tried to sell me one of the new units they have. They had said the week before I finally asked to have it back that it was fixed except for the gas cap which had still not come in. The customer brought in a Remington string trimmerWhen it was dropped off, he was told that particular brand wasn't serviced hereHe insisted we take a look at it, and was ok with paying the diagnostic/deposit fee upfrontAlso, when the unit was dropped off, it was at the peak of our busy
seasonIt did take a while for us to get to the trimmer, because it was a off-brand and we put our customers at a higher level of priorityOur policy on equipment like this is a $dollar deposit must be made when the unit is dropped ofThis ensures that our technicians get paid for the time they spend diagnosing and figuring out whats wongThe parts that were needed to repair the machine were on a very long back order from the manufacturerThe parts finally came in, and when the customer came in to request to have his trimmer back, I explained to him that the parts were finally here, and we would be able to repair it right away on Monday (This happened on a Saturday)The customer declined the offer and took the trimmerThe deposit that he left, was then kept since we had spent time finding out what was wrong, and ordering the partsShould you have any other issues regarding this matter, feel free to contact me directly at any of the below numbersThank-you for your time. Review: On 5/18/2015 I took a weed eater to them for repair. It would not run. They said it would be about 3 weeks to look at it. I was required to pay a $45 deposit on the work to be done. After the 3rd week I stopped in to see if they could offer more exact date of service. They had not looked at it. I stopped in the following week and was told it was fixed but needed a new gas cap, which the were waiting for. The following week I checked again and was told the same thing. The next week I stopped there again and got the same story. I told them I would not wait any longer for them. and got my weed eater back. The said that nothing had been done to it, but they had the carburetor. I said I was told it was fixed except for the gas cap. Again they said nothing had been done. They refused to give me the $45 down payment for service back.Desired Settlement: I would like my $45 returned.

I purchased a snowthrower from this establishment wanting to give them the business instead of a big box store. I wanted something I could handle and would clear snow efficiently. I paid them to put it together and deliver it, (which turned out to be a much higher amount compared to other dealers). I had problems handling this unit from the beginning and called Town and Country multiple times during the winter. I got very little help and ended up abandoning using the snowthrower during one of the worst winters in Wisconsin history. I am a petite female so prior to purchasing this unit, I asked if this was one that I should be able to handle and they said "oh sure." There was no snow on the ground so I could not test it nor did they offer. But I later found out that it didn't have a turning wheel so that made it all the more difficult. I also question whether they set it up correctly since it continued to pull in one direction so I was fighting the machine the whole time. Anyway, I approached the business to see if we could make a deal where I could trade this barely used snowthrower in for one that I could handle. The offer was very disheartening. I know they are in business to make money but to be honest, I feel that I was taken advantage of.
