We had a pin size leak in our water line to the heaterT&P representative was Incredibly rude, arrogant & aggressive He was telling me how he knows what he is doing in his first sentence, if we don't like what he is saying he can leave and we had to pay dollars which was not mentioned when I called to the company He told the repair price is dollarsWe called his boss He denied that he had given any pricing, when I spoke with his boss on the telephoneHis boss said that what ever his guy is saying about the price his stands behind itThen the plumber went to call his boss outside, came back and told that the price went upIt was suddenly dollarsWhen I asked how did this happen and what he was planning to do to fix the problemHis repeated his earlier threat: I know what I am doing.I can leave, but you have to pay dollars for the call visitI had a cleaning lady who was shaking her head while listening to this conversation I spoke first with the plumber first in person but then I had to call my husband to get some sense of what he was doingBoth of us were amazed of his rude behavior, even with himFinally my husband told me to send the guy awayI was polite to the end, but very shocked of this plumber's visit We called another plumberHe spend minutes to fix the problem and we paid dollars for the visit instead of dollars

I could hear some water dripping every night and it really irritates meHaving this kind of problem each day and night, it also increases our monthly water billA friend of mine from the neighborhood recommended these guysI called them and set an appointmentThey arrived on time and went directly on fixing my faucetThe plumber was quite friendly and very professionalI would love to recommend this to others!

Our experience with Town & Country plumbing relates to a slab leak on our property in early February We had called the owner of the company, Gary, (whom we had done business with years earlier), and asked them to check it out He recommended getting a leak detection company to come out and pinpoint the leak before we contracted them We did and then had T & C come out to begin the repair work on the same day The plumber that was sent out never looked at the report from the leak detection company, just checked the pipes they had labeled, before giving us a quote They came back the following day with a crew of and worked on and off throughout the day to "fix" the leak They left at p.mwith full payment and we were told the leak was fixed, However, that night, we continued to hear water running in the house We called at a.mthe following morning--no answer At a.m., we called back and of the men came back We were told they had other "emergencies' and would come back later Meanwhile, we had to shut off the water, AGAIN, until 3:p.mthat day When they returned, they shut off the cold water to part of the house and told us that they would be back on Monday (this was on Saturday) On Monday, a DIFFERENT plumber came out and said that the leak was a 'different' leak from the original He spent less that hours rummaging about and left, saying he would return the following day That night, the company called us back and said they would be back in DAYS! BY THIS POINT, WE HAD BEEN WITHOUT FULL WATER USAGE AT OUR HOUSE FOR DAYS!!! We did not allow them to work on our plumbing on Wednesday and we have since had another company "clean up" their work and repair /replace the original damage

I have used this plumbing company for years & had always been very satisfied with their customer service & workIn March we needed a toilet replacedDuring the call I was basically talked into an expensive ToTo toilet that would NEVER plug ($495)Within days it plugged & did so many timesIt also kept spitting water up when it flushedAfter some calls to them a plumber was sent out to make some adjustments to itNothing changedI was told by the owner over the phone that he couldn't keep taking my weekly calls on what was wrong with the toilet & that he'd never heard of such a thingBasically, he didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it to the vendor he got it from & he said as much in his own wordsIt took some doing to get him to agree to take it back & put in another I'd bought at LowesEven after the ToTo spit on my husband's behind as wellHe made absolutely no commitment whatsoever to refund us anything on the ToToIt took many calls to finally get him to say he'd "try" & let me knowNow, being nearly July, I called & was literally hung up on for asking who I was speaking toI called again & Gary (owner) had nothing but reasons about why he did that, kept talking over the top of me & informed me that he'd send me $out of the $we paid for the toiletHe also argued with me regarding what was charged to us for installation & I'm sitting here looking at the receiptHe did agree to take out the ToTo & install the new Kohler for "free"I suspect he said that only because he was expecting to keep the other $we'd paid himDuring today's conversation & the math not being difficult to do at all, he insisted that he charges $for installation rather than the $showing clearly on my receipt & made a big deal out of installing the Kohler for "free"I pointed out the math to him & that he'd be keeping $of our money for that "free" installationI told him all I wanted was to be treated fairly & as far as I see it, he can keep $of it for installing the Kohler, but not $They've thrown customer service right out the window & are now, by all appearances, just out for whatever money they can grab with no regard to how hard others work for itI approached them in good faith having had good experiences with them in the past & ended up finding myself in a battle I did not want in order to be fairly treatedThere is a clearly stated warranty for the ToTo toilet & there should be no punishment involved in returning a defective oneBottom line, Gary is stealing from us if he does not return at least $No other work but toilet installations was doneOn another note, he'd told me at first there was a $rebate on it & the one he installed is not a model that gets any rebateAs it was, the current rebates for toilets at that time was only $Misinformation isn't a good practice eitherI'm not complaining for no good reasonThis is my first & will likely be my last complaint about any company through the Revdex.comConsidering Gary's degree of unwillingness to deal with me even remotely fairly, I want to let other people know what to expect so they won't fall into the same trap we did

I have used this plumbing company for years & had always been very satisfied with their customer service & work. In March 2016 we needed a toilet replaced. During the call I was basically talked into an expensive ToTo toilet that would NEVER plug ($495). Within days it plugged & did so many times. It also kept spitting water up when it flushed. After some calls to them a plumber was sent out to make some adjustments to it. Nothing changed. I was told by the owner over the phone that he couldn't keep taking my weekly calls on what was wrong with the toilet & that he'd never heard of such a thing. Basically, he didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it to the vendor he got it from & he said as much in his own words. It took some doing to get him to agree to take it back & put in another I'd bought at Lowes. Even after the ToTo spit on my husband's behind as well. He made absolutely no commitment whatsoever to refund us anything on the ToTo. It took many calls to finally get him to say he'd "try" & let me know. Now, being nearly July, I called & was literally hung up on for asking who I was speaking to. I called again & Gary (owner) had nothing but reasons about why he did that, kept talking over the top of me & informed me that he'd send me $200 out of the $495 we paid for the toilet. He also argued with me regarding what was charged to us for installation & I'm sitting here looking at the receipt. He did agree to take out the ToTo & install the new Kohler for "free". I suspect he said that only because he was expecting to keep the other $495 we'd paid him. During today's conversation & the math not being difficult to do at all, he insisted that he charges $150 for installation rather than the $100 showing clearly on my receipt & made a big deal out of installing the Kohler for "free". I pointed out the math to him & that he'd be keeping $295 of our money for that "free" installation. I told him all I wanted was to be treated fairly & as far as I see it, he can keep $100 of it for installing the Kohler, but not $295. They've thrown customer service right out the window & are now, by all appearances, just out for whatever money they can grab with no regard to how hard others work for it. I approached them in good faith having had good experiences with them in the past & ended up finding myself in a battle I did not want in order to be fairly treated. There is a clearly stated warranty for the ToTo toilet & there should be no punishment involved in returning a defective one. Bottom line, Gary is stealing from us if he does not return at least $395. No other work but 2 toilet installations was done. On another note, he'd told me at first there was a $100 rebate on it & the one he installed is not a model that gets any rebate. As it was, the current rebates for toilets at that time was only $40. Misinformation isn't a good practice either. I'm not complaining for no good reason. This is my first & will likely be my last complaint about any company through the Revdex.com. Considering Gary's degree of unwillingness to deal with me even remotely fairly, I want to let other people know what to expect so they won't fall into the same trap we did.

Review: I called Town and Country Plumbing to come out to find a leak at my house. He asked me questions about the leak: where it is, if there are any sprinklers around. No to the questions. Made an appointment and waited the time frame that they gave me and they did not show up. The man I talked to said that he didn't want to send someone out if you don't know where the leak is. Well I thought that there job is to find the leak. It says Leak Detection in their advertisement. To me that's false advertisement.Desired Settlement: They should not me on the Revdex.com

Re:

It is difficult to recall details of conversations that don't result in our company

actually going to a job site. I own this company and answer the phones

exclusively, so if this person spoke to a gentleman, it was me. I would never

have advised a potential customer that they were required to know from

where a leak was coming before we could "detect" it. What I may have said is

that without knowing the source of the leak, I couldn't give a price over the

phone. Of course we can locate any leak I would have advised the potential

customer that would require "troubleshooting" and/or "electronic leak

detection" and that we have to charge for that. My records don't show that a

job was dispatched for this customer. My feeling is that after hearing there

would be a charge, the customer elected to cancel the job. If there was some

misunderstanding, or miscommunication, I apologize for whatever my part

may have been.
